Pochettino sacked

Oh I agree. I'd rather have a long term manager and it be based on regular sustained success. But we are woeful when it comes to well organised changes in manager.

This situation reminds me of what we should've done with Moyes when he got stale.
If we got rid of Moyes sooner we would have just gone backwards sooner, due to the resources the club had at the time. You think the manager was really the problem at that point, when we were regular top 4-6?

A very good point. No, the new manager would have had the same restrictions placed upon him. But we certainly seemed to stagnate under him for the last few years of his time here - I am not sure if it would have been a bad thing to get the fresh blood in sooner.

Anyway it is the past now. I hope Everton, if or when they change to a different manager, handle it more swiftly than the debacles of getting Koeman or Silva in (prior to having to get Fat Sam).

I used it as an example to the
football snobs who pretend that Mourinho will ruin Spurs rather then do what he's done at every club he's managed. Win trophies amd bring success.
He's also left Chelsea, United and Madrid, his last three stops, in complete turmoil at the end of his time. It isn't far fetched to think he could do that again and a slice of bad luck here or there could mean that he wins nothing when he does.

Some very weird, jealous — almost tedious responses toward Spurs sacking a manager and hiring a proven winner here.

Your frustration should be directed at the club, not at other clubs.

Talked about small time.

I'm very jealous.

Jealous of Spurs.

Poch was over the hill with his project there, always an eye on Real Madrid or Man Utd - would have left if they beat Liverpool in that final. The narrative become how Poch was overachieving, when he hadn't won a trophy for 5 years...

While we wait until things react catastrophic levels to change manager - Levy has made the decision to bring in the most decorated manager in the game.

Last season, when Mourinho was in the press saying he's desperate to get back to football, saying the Prem, saying he'd take a job at a team who haven't won trophies for a long time and rocking up to Everton games in his spare time - we should have moved heaven an earth for him.
