Mourinho wasn't my first choice for sure. I was hoping for Silva obviously. The point i was making is that when you get to my age, long term thinking loses its appeal. And yes i did laugh at Mourinho's plight at Man U but in hindsight would i swap our 'project' for Man U's League & Europa cup wins? Without hesitation.
Some of those 'core players' may change their minds now Mourinho is in change, who knows? The stadium debt has been renegotiated at at very low interest rate over a 30 year period so hardly an issue. As for money in the kitty, the money is there, just depends if Levy/Lewis want to spend it.
We still have a lucrative naming rights deal to negotiate and a potential takeover (a US name seems likely given our NFL deal).
So while it is heart warming that so many opposition fans are concerned for Spurs long term future i don't think they need to lose any sleep over it.
I think it's touching you think discussion on a football forum constitutes deep concern.
I also think the whole argument is based on the assumption that he's going to win you trophies. It's one thing to win them at United and quite another at Spurs. For this to be worthwhile he has to win them though. And significant ones.
