Pochettino sacked

It's not a double standard because I genuinely don't know that he will win anything at Spurs. At United he won the League Cup (if that's all you're looking for then you might he in luck) and the Europa League. The Europa League win included wins over powerhouses St. Etienne, Rostov, Anderlecht, Celta Vigo and Ajax in final that they won despite being completely outplayed. His best season at United in the league was more De Gea than tactics. So unless you're going to find the best keeper in the world, get amazing draws in a competition you aren't even likely to be in or accept winning the Carabou Cup I'm not sure trophies are coming your way.

I personally think Mourinho is done. He hasn't had a team playing consistently well since the last Chelsea title he won 5 seasons ago and he hasn't made good signings despite spending bucket loads in that same period. And that's why I'd worry about how he leaves the club at the end. Because I think adding to the trophy cabinet is far from guaranteed but pouring gasoline everywhere and lighting a match in 3 years or so is much more likely.

And Kane has been below his best this season. He will be back no doubt but he's way out of form currently.

If Mourinho wins the Europa League for us by beating the Dog & Duck, the Red Lion and the Nags Head I will be over joyed.

You seem to know a lot more about football and Tottenham in particular than me so I will take your word for it that Mourinho and Kane are past their sell by dates.

I have heard from somebody we are link with him.

Didn't say that about Kane. And the point wasn't that United weren't worthy winners, it was that playing all those teams and not someone actually competitive is not something that you can count on happening. Try reading.

He leaves clubs with more trophies in the cabinet than when he arrived.

The double standards I see from many opposition fans is laughable.

All the years we were coming in the Top 4 all I used to hear was 'but you never win anything' when we appoint a serial winner the agenda becomes 'Mourinho doesn't respect the project'.

The same experts that still try and tell me that Kane is overrated.
You have a core of your first 11 leaving on a Bosman, not much money in the kitty with your stadium debt and you have a manager who throws his dummy out at the first sign of him not getting what he wants, no wonder opposing fans think it will end in tears within 18-24 months.

The thing is he was against the appointment as well and has probably spent the last 3 years pissing himself at Mourinho's meltdown at United like most people.

Mourinho wasn't my first choice for sure. I was hoping for Silva obviously. The point i was making is that when you get to my age, long term thinking loses its appeal. And yes i did laugh at Mourinho's plight at Man U but in hindsight would i swap our 'project' for Man U's League & Europa cup wins? Without hesitation.

Some of those 'core players' may change their minds now Mourinho is in change, who knows? The stadium debt has been renegotiated at at very low interest rate over a 30 year period so hardly an issue. As for money in the kitty, the money is there, just depends if Levy/Lewis want to spend it.

We still have a lucrative naming rights deal to negotiate and a potential takeover (a US name seems likely given our NFL deal).

So while it is heart warming that so many opposition fans are concerned for Spurs long term future i don't think they need to lose any sleep over it.

It's amazing that our fans are so concerned about your finances.

You have a new stadium built, your turnover is already more than double of ours and is only going to go one way for your lot now.

While about 80% of our turnover goes on wages , yet we seem to be more concerned about Spurs finances.

Tottenham Hotspur made a world-record profit of £113m after tax last season (2018-2019). The figure tops the £106m profit posted by Premier League rivals Liverpool earlier this year.

As i said, i find their concern for our well being quite touching.

Opposition fans - 'Pochettino is a good manager but Spurs never win trophies/are bottlers

Oppostion fans - 'Mourinho might win you trophies but he will leave the club worse off'.
