Thats twice in two pages you’ve got all wound up by absolutely nothing statements.

Have some respect GB. Not his fault he’s still here playing. He’s past his best but still a blue, gives his all and is under contract. @davek you too put the Klaxxon away, seasons over - if he’s still here with the armband next season please by all means fire it back up.

:coffee:
He isn't a blue, he is an employee of the club who is paid handsomely.

It is his fault he is still playing. He should have retired or left to go to a club that is his level, but no, he's still here clinging onto his big contract.

Time to start forcing these losers out by being ruthless.

Yeah I like your thinking but this club is and has been his level.

Were lucky he got his confidence back coz I remember he was playing bad earlier this season and got dropped didnt he? Came back and we ended up top half as opposed to bottom half... which lets face it after this years effort is a bloody miracle.

Nothing good about finishing 8th in a very poor league from 6th place down Jags. Most of your team mates have been absolutely shocking this season and you all owe the very loyal supporters big time. The last thing they deserve is to hear an ageing captain justifying the shocking performance by saying that 8th place is a pleasing positive.

Hopefully, you wont be captain next season, Seamus will be instead, a genuine hard working leader that will says it as it is.

Building
Michael Keane insisted Everton won’t take satisfaction from their 8th place finish after defeat at West Ham yesterday.

The Blues flirted with relegation earlier in the season but the centre-back is eyeing bigger and better things for the new campaign.

“I would not say we are happy, because the expectation at the start of the season was to be better than we have been,” Keane told the club website.
“We got ourselves away from trouble after it looked at one point like we were in a fight. That was pleasing but I do not think we can be happy with how the season has gone as a whole and where we finished.
“We have to build something stronger as a team for next season. We have to put in the work in pre-season and I am confident we will come back stronger next year, individually and as a team.
“But it is alright saying that, we know we have to go and work and prove it for next year.”

At least Keane knows it isn't good enough. More ambition than our own Captain

Never captain material. Should have been Coleman years ago/

..I don’t disagree with the Coleman shout, but I don’t get the ‘never a captain’ view about Jagielka. He’s very well respected in the modern game and is a fine representative of the club whose team mates hold him in real esteem. A top professional. Captains don’t have to run around shouting and jesticulating. Brian Labone and Kevin Ratcliffe are our most successful skippers and were never the vociferous types on the pitch.

Coleman is terrific and an automatic selection, so it does make sense to give him the armband.

Too true mate.
