New manger's first objective in the Jan window is to sign 2 centre backs, one to partner Keane and one back up, and a left back and bin Jags, Williams and Baines. Our back line needs and has needed a full refresh for years now

Exactly. Jags wasnt good enough 3 years ago. We can see the outcome now. Whatever about his ability to play. ( he was a decent player) he is an utter rubbish leader and always was. We have folded time and time again under him.

Just watched the highlights and seen last 15 minutes live and I'm just not accepting that there isn't a better player aged 8 years old upwards currently at Finch farm who can't replace this fat arsed has been. Isn't fit for football let alone playing for Everton Football Club.

That first goal, Unsworth is accountable because he should be screaming "hey Jagielka and Williams you pair of fat arsed has beens, stay back becsuse you haven't got the legs to get back".

Watch that first goal and watch the pair of them jog back at full pelt and it's a bloody disgrace. I'll copy and paste this in the Williams thread because the same can be said for his disgraceful performance.

spineless and crap at football, now his physical strengths have left him, you can see just what a poor footballer he is

I just can't see how a fella of his age can't make it plainly clear he csnt track back so tell his manager he's staying back because he hasn't got the pace to come back. If Unsworth says "well tough [Poor language removed] I've got players back to cover you" you say no boss, I'm telling you straight I can't get back.

You can't play these two defenders and expect them to go forward and it be punished at the back, ridiculous from Unsworth as an ex centre back himself, same trap as Koeman

the problem there is you are expecting jags to be a man and speak up, goes against everything this utter jellyfish is

I know mate, I expect the bare minimum from these players and you don't even get that. That partnership is toxic mate, Woeful, not acceptable or good enough for this club.

I remember Watson and Gough together, 35 and 37 I think they were bit they were constantly talking to each other, understood space. Williams looked absolutely pissed on the 15 minutes I watched and highlights.

Leicester must have known they were going to have a fueld day against the 2 snails. Throw baines in there too cause he jogged back and stood ball watching doing nothing as the cross came into box. He wasnt marking or attempting to go to ball or find a player to mark. Utter rubbish the 3 of them now.

Nothing but respect for Jags, he's been a great servant to the club and a model pro.

But I genuinely believe he'd be having his 'last hurrah' at Sheffield Utd. if we'd have brought in another defender.

Just hasn't got the legs to cope at this level anymore :(

If he hadn't had his purple patch of 3 goals in 3 games he'd have been gone in the summer. That probably had Kenwright all teary eyed on his knees begging him to stay another year.

The way things are going jags will be having his swansong in the championship with us next year while sheffield utd enjoy the premier league.

We would probably be marooned without hope without Jags, he's the one half decent defender we have left. Leicester would have scored that goal against anyone once Gray was allowed to shoot forward like that. I don't remember anyone getting the better of him yesterday. if he was injured then you really would see the roof fall in

One of the worst bits of text I've ever read
