Just watched the highlights and seen last 15 minutes live and I'm just not accepting that there isn't a better player aged 8 years old upwards currently at Finch farm who can't replace this fat arsed has been. Isn't fit for football let alone playing for Everton Football Club.

That first goal, Unsworth is accountable because he should be screaming "hey Jagielka and Williams you pair of fat arsed has beens, stay back becsuse you haven't got the legs to get back".

Watch that first goal and watch the pair of them jog back at full pelt and it's a bloody disgrace. I'll copy and paste this in the Williams thread because the same can be said for his disgraceful performance.

Err.. isn't the job usually of other players, like fullbacks and defensive midfielders, to cover while centre backs attack a corner? Can't blame them at all for not being back there.

Davies and Rooney both had opportunities to take Gray out and didn't. Rooney especially should have had the cop on because the counter had escalated by the time he waddled behind Gray.

Well usually I'd agree mate but usually in most cases your 2 central halves will bomb it back with time to spare and be back in position. Watch the goal again and they are blowing out their arse before they barely pass the halfway line.

As I mentioned last night, if your that unfit and can't recover in time the manager needs to be aware if that and tjebplayers need to pipe up a bit because it was bloody comical.

And all of the above is without the moments what you mention where 3 times it could have been stopped but can you remember the last time we won a 50/50, stopped a dangerous counter attack? Nope, me neither

My problem with jags isn't necessarily the weight or drop in form, it's his poor captaincy.

Why is he selected as the captain? Never ever seen him once step up and get the troops rallied. Strange choice.

..never saw Ratcliffe or Brian Labone do that either and they were the most successful skippers in our history. Folk somehow think the captain should roll his sleeves up and run around giving teammates a rollicking but they are different types of individuals.

From what I hear, Jagielka commands great respect, is a fine club representative and a top pro. I think it’s ok to criticise his performances on the pitch but he’s been a fine leader in his time.

Fortunately for those two, they also played in quality sides...nobody had to go searching for reasons to question their captaincy as a cause for the inadequacies of the squad.

He's the captain because he's our oldest player and has been here for eons, that's how it works at our club.

Cannot understand this either. We have collapsed again and again under his so called leadership. I dont care what he does off the pitch or in training. A team cant get 3 points on a tuesday morn at training.

He ducked from a header 10 mins into the leicester match. It said it all about him. Was a decent player years ago. Finished now. Never was a captain years ago and now his lack of leadership on the pitch is helping to bring championship football to goodison next season.

He is the closest thing to john o shea from sunderland i have seen.

Commands great respect is fine on the training pitch and around the club. We need a leader of men to captain this team on the pitch. This lad has captained a team that has collapsed on the pitch so many times it is shocking.

It is part of the current problem imo. A spinless team with no balls.
