Not A Transfer Rumour..... Wayne Rooney

Slightly off topic, but has anyone got or know where to find footage of Rooneys youth cup goals vs Tottenham from 2002?

I remember watching them on Sky Sports News, so there is film of it about.

If anyone can help, it will really help elevate this thread from a slight torture to full on Masochistic pleasure.

There's a reason why this prison is the worst hell on earth... Hope. Every man who has ventured here over the centuries has looked up to the light and imagined climbing to freedom. So easy... So simple... And like shipwrecked men turning to sea water from uncontrollable thirst, many have died trying. I learned here that there can be no true despair without hope.

Plus I would say Rooney is one of the few that playing football week in week out, being the hero, means more to him than the amounts of money involved. And maybe more so where Everton are concerned.

Lets not kid ourselves that he wouldn't still be earning massive monies here, plus all the commercials ect...

Still think its too early for him to come back realistically. On the same note I don't see him as the type who would want to come back after he's declined and no longer capable of being the hero.

Think moyes might get him to stay 1 more year, which may just be to our benifit 12 months down the line.

Funny listening to him interview's, he still refer's to eferton as US like we do as fans. Wonder if taking a massive paycut to come home would cut him slack with the major haters?

Have mentioned this earlier, but if Evertonians started a massive twitter campaign ('#ComeHomeWayne', something like that), it wouldn't take long to trend, and the media would probably even pick up on it within a day if not hours in which case the whole thing would escalate.

Pull at his heart strings, he's an Evertonian, Moyes is out the way, and for the last few years every time we've matched or beaten United, Rooney has been flapping his arms about in frustration at United's players.

We need a striker, a hero, we've built a brilliant team that is one or two top class players away from being serious Champions League material, he'll know that, and he'll know that he'd be a hero here, especially if his twitter was going insane with blues telling him to come home.

He should never be allowed to just walk back in when he's past it, if he's to come home it needs to be now whilst he can still make an impact, not just a contribution.

A twitter campaign would be like begging him to come back.

That would be a kopite thing to do apparently.

We'd much rather sit back and watch him sign for PSG, then maybe come to us when he's fat and crap in 5 years.

Exactly! We'd much rather let him go and play his remaining best years elsewhere without trying. Then when we look at him scoring thirty a season elsewhere at least we can sulk about it with our pride.

put a quid on us being his next team at 50/1, think he'll stay at united for one more year at least if i'm honest, then possibly us/ not expecting him here this summer

What would be the chances of Nike chipping in with his wages.

I don't think they would be keen to see him in another kit.
