No Europa please

Play the kids in the 2nd round, get out of it as fast as we can. Takes a potential seven first game teams out of next season's schedule so that the Europa League campaign doesn't wear us out as much.

Ah i see, i thought you meant some kind of United/Club World Cup situation.

I reckon if we were to qualify for Europe then Roberto would keep the likes of Lundstram and Duffy and use them in Europe or the LC, would be a great chance to play some youngsters without having to send them on loan.

I´ll take Europa .By winning the FA cup would do ta. Thats if we do not make the CL ,Roberto will be planning to deepen the squad I am sure . So bring it ! Lets have at them!

At the start of the season I would have taken a season that finishes with i a Europa League spot all day long. So on that basis I'm in.

Also, I think teams that struggle once the Europa league kicks in tends to be teams that got through via winning or coming runners up in a cup competition or that ridiculous fair play placement

I'm not the biggest fan but it does bring advantages. We get to see good European teams hopefully not the dross that the English teams have faced this year . We get more well know to players and get an opportunity to scout Europes fine gems out there . Also we have the incentive of a champions league place this time so we can drop out of one of the cups without really affect trophy success. I think it's 75% certain that we will be in Europe this season if city win the league cup as they will be in champions league next season anyway I can't see us finishing below sixth

Remember that fiorentina game at goodison mate, thats why anyone who says no is daft imo, you cant buy nights like that, an amazing atmosphere at goodsion it was

watched that in the pub here in Germany, with really loud volume so we could appreciate the Goodison faithful...one of the most memorable games i've ever seen.

I'll happily take Europa League over the 7th place trophy.

Yes to Europe. That's the whole point of trying to finish high up the table. It never seemed to bother our league form before. I miss the European games.

The thing that worries me is that we have a World Cup next summer, and several of our players are going to be in the shop window. I'm inclined to think CL qualification is going to be required to keep Barkley, but if we don't even make the Europa then I can see it being like with Rooney after Euro 2004. Top 4 is so important this season.

Don't think Barkley is going anywhere regardless this year. Can't see it.

I can't understand the "we don't want to play in the Europa league" mentality. We want to do as well as possible. If that turns out not to be good enough for CL but gets us a place in the Europa League then I'll happily take that. It'll give us boss nights under the lights at the Old Lady and ace trips to places in Europe we've probably never heard of.

Don't underestimate the desire for European footie amongst Evertonians. The club did that a few years ago and had to delay kick off.

If we're up against Hull on the last day of the season and need to win to get a Europa League position then anyone who's thinking we'd be better off losing or drawing needs to take a long, hard look at themselves.

If we were playing in a league which was less competitive in terms of physical effort, such as La Liga or Serie A, I'd be happy to be in the Europa.

Winner of the 2014/2015 Europa League qualifies for Champions League...

Even if it wasn't for that, I'd still take it. A little bit more money and prestige is better than none.

Happy to play in the Europa as long as the squad is suitably deep.

It was a good size in 07/08, although I'm sure I remember us being pretty spawny with injuries that year.

Next year, if we've got European qualification, I think we'll go into the season with our biggest and best squad yet, so I'm sure we'd be fine and we'd also have a serious shot at winning it. The European nights at Goodison in the later knockout stages are truly amazing and a good run always builds an ace sense of excitement and pride amongst the fans.

Europa is great for random trips to countries you would not dream of going however, Champions League football would help us masslively with the money!

Exactly, let's have some ambition at this club!
We should be wanting to compete in every competition going.
We proved a few seasons ago that we can do the Europe thing as well as concentrate on the league so let's put some faith in the manager and players.
After all, the more times we are in Europe the more quality players who want to play in Europe will join us!
