Does seem oddly defeatist. I'd back Everton all day to reach the Semis.

For example, I knew we'd beat Sunderland away and bottle it against Liverpool the other year.

If we draw anyone but Chelsea next round I'd fancy us to go through and lose spectacularly in the Semis to whoever we draw, as that is what we do. But I'm confident we'll play (and go out) at Wembley this year.

Feel the same. Somehow, I wouldnt be surprised to get to the Semi's again...nor be upset when we go crashing out on a big stage.

The lad turned up at the medical with no legs, just two bloody stumps. We cant blame the club for saving money on him and putting it toward the summer transfer fund instead.

We nearly signed Oscar Pistorius? Glad that transfer had no legs.

I thought he played OK tonight. His movement was good, our midfielders were too slow in picking him out on occasion, and when they did either his first touch or his finish let him down. It's frustrating. He's still showing the signs of the striker he was last season, he just can't get the ball in the back of the net.

Really want him to do well. The chance he had, first touch was nice just a little of target. It will come but hes doing to much running the channels.

I'd agree that he's just having a confidence crisis.

The talent is there.

I totally agree mate. When that ball was slotted through and he took it too far ahead of him, I just knew it was his confidence. Felt bad for the lad. I have faith in Jelavic, he's no ibrahimavic. If he was then he'd of been off in the next window while we all cried slow tears.

That ball Gibson played was the service he was getting last season and he would of put that right in the corner last season but now he just whacked it . No excuse moyes needs to give him a wake up call . The thing is he is not ****e he has it in his locker but he seems down . Yes he's had a few games on the bench but as a pro he should pick his head up . The boys trying to hard

Just me who remembers his form last season with Cahill behind him then?

Bingo. To the Cahill haters... youse are dead set drongos.

Not spending to get an attacker in the window is going to see us end this season with a whimper.

There's so many different reasons why signing another attacker in the window wasn't just a priority, it was necessity. I can't see it as anything other than a complete failure on every level within the Club, and that's something I wouldn't say often, because I don't know what goes on.

A total C0ck Up and there goes another season.
