I think you're spot on. Honestly me and the bloke next to me were both saying vellios that should start against arsenal. Either alongside Jelavic or just alongside Fellaini. We're not capatilising on the ammount of crosses we put in.
See this is the thing. If a player is out of form you replace them with someone else.
You try Duffy instead of Heitinga, you try Vellios instead of Jelavic. It might not work but if the alternative is to keep playing someone who's playing really badly then you give it a shot. Sometimes it pays off. It's not like Vellios hasn't scored goals for us, before or Duffy hasn't kept clean sheets for us.
I wish Moyes would give chances to people outside the 14-15 players he always trusts. We have this situation where players in bad form are just continusly picked while their competition sit on the bench and I'd rather that changed.
Jelavic isnt out of form and I certainly wouldnt replace him with Velios. I have no faith in the guy scoring 5 a season never mind 20. Which Jelavic is capable of.
I also wouldnt swop Duffy for any of the 3 centre halfs. Why... Because they are all better than him.
Jelavic had no service especially Fellaini, Mirallas and Gibson were out.
Utter bollocks. We are spending more time attacking this season than ever before. Raining shot after shot in most games.
If jelavic isn't getting chances than frankly he either doesn't suit our style or his movement is terrible.
If Mirallas, Fellaini and Osman are having ten shots each a game and jelavic is just sitting around doing bugger all, maybe that's a problem with jelavic rather than our attacking play as a whole.
even though he is being a mahoosive tit in his replies i have to agree with cotto on vellios, i don't like him, i don't think he's a very good footballer at all and i honestly believe he would struggle to score goals in division 1.
Duffy however does look a decent centre half and worthy of a go when we are shipping goals.

utter bollocks...he isn't being presented with the type of chance he thrives on. A goal scorer is a goalscorer you either play to his strengths and he will bag goals or you can try make him run the channels or track back and his goals will suffer, you can't have it both ways.
Vellios did well off the bench last season and has done well in the reserves. I dunno. I'd rather we could turn to Vic but I don't think vellios has played enough to warrent being dismissed as awful, tbh.

Right but if he isn't being presented with the type of chance he thrives on then why play him? Why not play someone who can thrive on the type of chances he is being presented with (the numerous free headers that jelavic is missing)?
