New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Said it before and I'm gonna say it again. The answer to the silence is a singing section. The atmosphere has been rotten at Goodison for years so lets not pretend that this season is something completely out of the ordinary. In reality its no worse then most Goodison games of the last five to ten years. It just feels worse because we're in totally new surroundings and all the lads who previously spent all game yelling have stopped because many of them aren't near the lads who always tolerated and even embraced it. We truly should've sorted a singing section this season, it was the perfect opportunity but we ballsed it up. Now is the time to do the reset. Do it now and set it up for 26-27. Once you get a section of people solidly making noise, more will come organically.
Singing section FFS were not wools lad

I dunno mate. I truly feel like there's been snatches of optimism in there. Moyes had a five or so year run the first time when I sincerely believed we where capable of winning something and the atmosphere in Martinez's first season was pretty good but you're right that its definitely more then one decade and its probably over two.
I'll give you Martinez. Just for a moment - the 3-0 battering of Arsenal - anything seemed possible. I never bought into Moyes. He's just not a winner.

I agree that he's not and will never be a winner. But I didn't know that as much back then. I had optimism in 04-05, and between 6-7, 7-8, 8-9 I really felt like he was on to something. He even kinda won more over again a little bit at times in 11-12 and 12-13 but I acknowledge that I'm possibly more easily pleased then most.

If trying to get some atmosphere back into the match makes me a wool then so be it. I'd rather be that then the uber scouse lads who make being that their whole identity while sitting in total silence all game and every game.
Oh sorry didn't know that we've been playing like Brazil last few years oh and by the way if you shout too loud you might get a yellow sticker on ye seat...

The team is grabge. We all know it. They're among the worst teams to ever represent the club. There's still nothing to be gained by sitting in silence. It just makes going the match an even worse experience then it already is.

Did the tour today, absolutely loved it. Great to see some parts of the upper south without the matchday crowd, even found the escalators to use when the game ends that I didn't even know where there despite being only two gates away. Funny to hear that one of the rooms that was meant for the opposing managers to use was stopped by Moyes and instead it was turned into a extra room for EFC to use meaning that the away team entourage are packed into a relatively small changing room.

Atmosphere issues is down to lack of tempo/pace all over the pitch.

When we address that, when we get back to a playing style befitting of Everton, we'll see atmosphere improve.

I think it's naive to think the atmosphere would improve that much if we started playing better. Beating someone 3-0 isn't going to get all the arl fellas to spring in the action. Most of them won't/can't stand up for a corner in a tight game.
