New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Went to see Goodison before the match yesterday as I had time to kill, the place will always be Everton to me, miss it more than I ever thought I would getting our swanky new pad. In time future generations will hopefully feel the same with Bramley Moore but we need some new heroes to bring stories of past success and folklore magic like Goodison always had for all us growing up, giving us hope that our blues had done it before on that pitch so why not again.

Yes, we have. But it also places a huge question mark over:

1/ how long current pricing policy can be sustained once the novelty value wears off

2/ how realistic a bigger capacity is for us - perhaps even with some onfield success.

Prices are key IMO. More so than transportation and the difficulties over ticketing transfers etc.
Fully agree , that pricing and transferring of tickets etc should be looked at and should be a priority - like you say , the club should acknowledge the novelty factor and well the initial increase in attendance clubs experience when moving to a shiny new ground . To sustain this , the team needs to win - I agree that we will possibly struggle to attain these levels of attendance if the fans are only getting to watch a mid table team. Money has unfortunately overtaken football, and I do believe the new ground can be a significant asset to the club and the impetus to bringing success back to the team but I also believe the club should not forget 'the people's club' and should respect the fan base and set prices accordingly. All stadiums seem to do the same , where bag of sweets that normally cost £1.50 suddenly become £4 or £5 . Am I naive in hoping Everton might or would or could be different

Just putting it out there, I can only assume the 3 hour cut-off is for the digital ticket updates?!
You would think after that point the box office can sell physical tickets at the stadium, admittedly there's the security aspect to consider... and the long walk for the punter not knowing if they'll get a ticket

A bit of both: we need more Everton 'furniture' and signage to offset how sterile the stadium is to begin with.

There's no short cut to making this our fortress and part of our identity - but it can and must be expedited with a greater effort by the club owners to dictate to commercial partners that WE as a football club take on a bigger profile at that stadium than we've been *allowed* to make
I think we will get there, I guess the saying Rome wasn't built in a day' holds true. understand your frustrations and support the need for these issues to be addressed as well as the points that have been made about ticketing. However, I do think that we should acknowledge the pressures that the club faced in getting such a huge project delivered on time, and should give credit for this achievement. Also the little details within the stadium and stadium grounds that do pay homage to Everton - archibald leitch design on fences , the players entrance that was explained today, that the paving stones had been designed and laid to represent walking on water and obviously mentioned bob Latchford. Also I really Loved 'Everton Way' . Obviously more can be done and I am sure it will do, it can frustrating when you have all these ideas etc and just want to them come to fruition but I also think we are not party to all the goings on behind the scenes. I would hope there are enough 'Everton' people working within the club to understand the fans and to represent these concerns - if the tour guides are anything to go by , then I am sure there are. To me stadium is truly wonderous - I have always been proud of all of Evertons achievements, however small, things like , Goodison was first to have undersoil heating etc, and I mention this because I found out today about the interesting way the pitch is now heated and kept at the correct moisture by use of a huge water tank and fan system under the pitch that can release water (heated if needed) and also extract water from the pitch. Also the solar panels on the roof that supply 97% of the stadiums electricity. Try to think of the stadium as this amazing blank canvas that now can be painted or decorated in the Everton way. I think the team and some of the performances at times, give fans enough to moan about and delivering a quality team is challenge enough , to many seasons bare witness to this, but to deliver this colossal stadium during this period, during a period of failure on the pitch, I feel this is a remarkable achievement

Well, there's no question that the stadium is top class.

Means nothing though if people dont feel at home or comfortable in there. 🤷‍♂️
