New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

great stadium and everything, away fans will say how brilliant it is… it just doesn’t feel like going to watch Everton. The whole pre match routine, weird atmosphere / non atmosphere during the game, pockets of fans sitting in different areas of the ground. I’ve gone from the lower gwladys to south upper and it’s night and day the difference in terms of atmosphere.

It might improve in time but just feels like we’ve lost a massive part of what I and many others enjoyed about going the game. It’s becoming more corporate I’m sure loads of day trippers will enjoy it but it almost feels like a day out rather than an Everton home game. Would like to think the lower south becomes more similar to the lower gwladys over time.

Your sentiments match mine entirely. I know the matchgoing experience has changed dramatically possibly for the better. Its just not what I've come to expect and over halfway through the season im struggling to adapt.

Getting in today was the worst I've known it. Getting through the dock wall at 2:30 the queues were horrendous, never seen it so bad. The metal detector single file thing is a farce. Does any other stadium do this?? Even when it goes off they don't actually search anyone, the whole thing is ridiculous.

First time in club view today on a friends ticket (swapped with my regular ST) and I would not be happy if I paid the extra £300 or so for it. Facilities no different to SE upper, and arguably worse as you're constrained to that concourse so can't get everything that is available in other areas of the ground. Nice view though.

That western terrace was closed off too. 'Safety' reasons. There was f.a. on the ground to make it a safety issue. Lazy gets just dont want to steward. it.

Terrible trying to get through checkpoint entrance at the walls thousands outside and stewards were hopeless... doing the metal detector on small children FFS while queuing was out of hand ... kids getting shoved everywhere outside 15 minutes before kickoff..... honestly if this happens at a derby match someone is gonna get hurt... didn't do checks walking along goodison road seems stupid and a health and safety issue

They tightened checks up again there today.

Even small children need to smuggle in drink to watch that lot.
