New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The irony is, we'd have sold a 60k in the immediate by increasing season tickets.

For me, the killer is the digital tickets, and 1 paid membership (seasonal too, not annual) = 1 ticket.

It means the game is 'sold out', but there's gaps as people can't readily transfer tickets. When that happens a few times, people will reassess their season ticket. It's happened elsewhere for years - like at Man City;

There's people who go the game, who have no idea how to transfer their ticket to someone else. Nor do they know yet, that if they want to, that person would need to buy a membership to receive the ticket.

In a few years, if we have a decade like the last - with the current system, I think we'd struggle to sell the season tickets we currently have once new stadium novelty wears off, and fatigue/frustration of digital ticket kicks in.

Apparently Spurs have now dropped the need to transfer to a member, perhaps that will be looked at here.

Anyone have any advice on how to tell the woman behind me at the match to stop shouting 'Cmon Everton, every 10 seconds in the same whiny voice? It's not cheering the team on, I'm sure even the players find her voice annoying. Actually puts me off the game more than that performance yesterday. Hopefully I can move seats in the summer. Vent over.

Least they're making some noise I suppose.

It wasn't always like that, though. In the past, boards would sack managers when crowds fell off. They don't fall off now in anything like the same way because the league is globalised. So you and your Dad and other loyal faithful fans don't even have that route to protest anymore even if you wanted to. Your empty seats would soon be taken by some South Korean tourists.
Probably very true, although maybe not as much for Everton not sure we have the following abroad that the Kopites have, I may be wrong though!

How long before ko do they bring in road closures on match days? I've been getting the train then walking but I'll be going with my dad and he would struggle to do that walk. We're thinking of getting dropped off by the ground. Could we get dropped off fairly close an hour or two before KO?

Also, we have access to the Trinity Place bar. Will there be anywhere for him to sit? Or will we need to get there at opening time to bag a seat? I'd rather not get there for 9:15am as it's far too early for a pint.

Anyone help. Where best place to park and then walk to ground. 1st game of the season on Saturday v Sunderland and wondered where’s best to then get away onto M62 back to Harrogate.

I don't moan about the ludicrous prices inside the new gaff because I won't buy anything at what they're attempting to charge. I hadn't bought anything inside Goodison for years either for the same reason.

Before home games I nip into the McDonalds in town then take in a bag of crisps and a bar of chocolate for half time. £6.50 for a doughnut? No 'kin way. That said plenty of others don't feel the same as the snack bars are always rammed in the lower South at half time with mugs queueing up to be had off.

Last I heard, amd it was a few years ago, Evertons numbers for worldwide following sit at about 8m. That's Evertons numbers and what they base their marketing expectations on.

I usually get into the stadium quite early but was running a bit late on Sunday and around 2.30 the queues for the security were very long and slow. They have 4 or 5 of the walk through metal detectors on every entrance but only 2 security so half of them were open. They were stopping and checking everyone rather than just those with bags. It got to the point where someone moved the barriers to the side and many just started walking past the security completely unchallenged.

Once past there it was fine. No other issues getting in or with being served on the lower south concourse just a very poor performance on the pitch.

We haven't attempted to drop off near the ground yet.... however, if you don't mind getting there relatively early the shuttle buses from town seem to work ok upto about 1 hr before KO. Then it's just a couple of hundred yards walk. Lots of places to park near town for the buses from L1 or from Lime St station. Afterwards, the buses can be a bit hit and miss, but if you can stay in concourses for a while.... they should be ok, by the time you go for return shuttle bus.

I don't see the value in it either, so I make the choice to not pay it. If people do pay it though (based upon their globalised datasets) then it will remain at that price.

the match is a very long day out now and people are bringing kids or people with diabetes etc, and they can’t bring stuff in, so people will have to pay

the prices in there are obscene
