New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I think it is bad timing for us, I recall the EPL having a big fanfare about having lots more games being televised this season, the drawback is more games are then moved, and moved to more crap times. Its bad luck for us as it coincides with our first season at BMD

This is very true. Combined with the fact that digital tickets could have come in at Goodison had the timing been different, meaning people wouldn't associate the consequences just being a BM thing.

I love BM and think over time it’ll become enjoyable to go to, but maybe the move to BM is just another step in line with how modern day EPL is becoming disenchanting to watch. That’s for me anyway. I’m in my 30’s now and was in my teens when the EPL was at it’s peak so maybe it’s an age thing.

I’m also most likely to be giving up my season ticket end of season.

I’ve been travelling up to games from the South for many a year. It’s a 540 mile round trip for me, and there’s no thought or consideration given to the match going fans anymore.

I love Hill Dickinson, and have enjoyed the games I’ve attended.

But I’m completely fed up with hardly any Saturday 3pm’s. For me to travel 540 miles on a Friday night, Monday night etc, just isn’t possible anymore.

And worst part is, the club couldn’t care less. I’ve been travelling up for over 25 years.

Prices are only going one way, and as for the train service/ prices with Avanti, the words to describe them I can’t use on this forum.

Then add in the appalling VAR, sub standard referees, pretty much non contact sport it’s come too…

Very sad it’s come to this, but I’ve had enough.
I to have decided to stop going next season speaking to my evertonian neighbour yesterday before I mentioned it he Told me he wasn’t renewing may be an older generation thing , we usually go away for a break from the crap weather this month as it’s my birthday first year I haven’t checked if it fell on a home game so I miss the Utd game and now have a stag trip in April arranged and couldn’t be bothered if I missed another game sad times .

Owners don't realise we are currently in the new stadiums novelty phase.
Another few seasons of the current plodding dross on the pitch and limited cup success and I fear the place will be like the empty-had just the die hards turning up.

Build it and they will come.....

Serve dross and they will go.

Unfortunately, they have a 25000 strong waiting list that will give them some leeway. At least 5 years worth of this season plus price hikes.

And that's before you factor in an expansion of using companies like Seat Unique to sell off individual seats for inflated costs.

I'm afraid anyone hoping for someone to 'think about the fans' is going to be disappointed.

I hate the sterile concrete in the bowl, the unscreeded roof, the grey bars that dominate the safe seating area, and the dour, defensive, incompetent football team we currently put on that pitch. A colourless team for a colourless stadium. It's beautiful, but being let down in the finish.

Why not give it one more season, please (for me). :)

The stadium needs Evertonising inside, its just too bland. All it needs is blue and white on the concrete bits and Everton on the seats, i know you can't see Everton on the seats when its full but an aerial veiw of the ground with our name on the seats would make me feel its more like home.
Was there lettering on the seats in the original designs ? I can’t remember
