Personally, I'm a fan of the thicker white line not matching the tower but will agree about the consistency with the banner, that was more of a time constraint as I simply nicked the old banner to use rather than the new one which is another reason for the extra blue space around the NISI that I would prefer not to be there but again was working quickly with the clubs new version of the text

Interesting to hear people's comments about the shape of the shield, which you rightly guessed was borrowed from the current badge and as much as I don't like the current design I do prefer how the lines of the shield taper into the point at the bottom rather than it looking like someone stuck a triangle on, which is how I see the new options

And I did my best to reduce the 'fat arse' (love that name for it by the way) by pinching it down a bit but maybe didn't succeed enough in that respect

Mate, in fairness you've proper sorted that badge out IMO. Your little tweaks have made all the difference.

As I've said earlier in this post, I'm very disappointed Everton are not developing any of the fans ideas... I wasted my time sending this in.

It's just an initial design and needs tidying up, but I didn't change much because it didn't need it, I used the original crest shape, laurels and Nil Satis text. I made the tower simpler to embroider on small scale and included the Everton text for when player abroad. I brought the 1878 numbers inside so it can be made from a single badge without the need for extra embroideries either side.

What do you think?

I like that. Whenever I design a logo, I always do it in black and white. If it works without the distraction of colour, it's a good design. Then you can colourise it.

Q. has anyone ever given a toss before when a badge has been tweaked or changed? or is it just because everyone now has a voice in the form of social media and forums that they express their opinions?
i don't ever recall a conversation with match going blues growing up with regards to changes to the badge over the last 30 odd years it was more critical with some kits (the 86 bib kit more so than anything else i recall)

may have been covered on here in some of the 100's of pages already on the topic but there history and changes made by other clubs over the years. Interestingly Barcelona's crest has changed numerous times in shape and detail but somehow always managed to remain the same.

Not a fan of those shields, but they look very nice indeed. We could do worse than them.

Overall, I wish the club had given the job of designing the badge to this forum. Some of the stuff created has been easily better than the one they're now ramming down our throats (1).

Everton supporters = lions led by donkeys. It's always been the same.

maybe the way the tower has been drawn in the current graphic may give the beehive judgement but the reality is the shape of it is spot on, more so than any other design before it. if i could i would have posted a photo of the actual tower here....it is just not the shape of all previous designs, strangely enough nobody ever complained about it for all those years
