It's a personal choice mate. I'm not arsed about having to brand ourselves so people recognise us. It usually brings up the team name on the telly abroad or the commentators mention it.
But that's not my concern, having a boss badge reflective of who we are is. City don't have their name on the badge, neither do the sh*te. Neither do we have to.

Prior to 2000, we only had 'Everton' on our shirts for 5 years, between 1978 and 1983. We only had Nil Satis Nisi Optimum for 13 years.
I wouldn't miss either on the new badge.

That is good. I'm not struck on the circular crest idea, but that tower is really nice. It looks like the 1938 one.

This is probably one of the best so far in terms of hitting the design brief on the head; it's fairly simple, clear, includes both the word Everton and nil satis which are basically none negotiable and it would be easy for the media to reproduce which was the biggest problem with the old badge

Problem with that is half of it would be ignored by Sky, that's what they often did with the old badge, omitting the word Everton and 1878. If you're going with the simplistic look it just has to be the tower, nothing else
I don't buy that argument. They only did it because we slapped '1878' and 'Everton' onto our old badge ourselves in an ill-designed way. It was no wonder liberties were taken with it.

Branding us to Billy Bob in Delaware or Pyon Ting in Shanghai isn't going to bring in that much extra revenue. Just knowing the club's name isn't going to bring in millions of new fans.

What have you got a bee in your bonnet over mate? If you don't agree with the consultation don't fill in the questionnaire. I take it you are actually bothered however otherwise you wouldn't reading through this topic. The club made a massive balls up with the current badge but in all fairness (and I am a big sceptic of the Everton is run) they couldn't do anymore to rectify the situation.
Will it? That is good to hear. Personally was just looking for small steps in right direction, but I prefer your analysis.
