As technically good as they are, they are far to complicated to be mass produced. The design of the badge needs to be simple yet effective (as in its recognisable). Have a look at the Liverbird on the LCC website, there was a complete rebrand (after the legal issue with LFC) and the new bird is both clean, modern but instantly recognisable.

The questionnaire was a really good way of gauging this i.e. what badges/logo stood out and why? and what brand was recognisable. That was the entire point, we are in a global market and its all about brand recognition; easy on they eye and you automatically associate it with the product

You do realise this is Everton we're talking about here don't you?

A working class football club.

It's not a brand. Or a product.

Of course it a product. Its a product that Sky pay millions to broadcast. Its a product that sponsors pay millions to put their names on. Its a product that companies pay millions for merchandising rights to.

Everton to compete in modern top flight football has to be a hell of a lot more commercial (and commercially savvy) than it currently is, and instant distinctive branding is one element of it.

Some cracking efforts in here, really like some of those. Make sure you upload them when you get to the end of the questionnaire thing as it gives you the opportunity to upload images and sketches

Middle two are quite tidy. As someone else said, would possibly ditch the NSNO from the tower

Whatever design is chosen, something will have to give to make the crest less cluttered in line with what the club is aiming towards. The previous Everton badge (before this seasons farce) included the tower, the wreaths, the shield, the 1878 and Nil Satis. I think one or more of these will end up going. The trouble is some will like the next badge, some won't like it, but hopefully we end up with an acceptable badge instead of something designed by committee that looks like dog turd

Just seen this on NSNO by a poster called blueToffee. Would be very happy with this if it was our new badge...

Really like this design (nothing needs to be added). Either this or a refined version of the laurel design would do me.

Makes my previous attempts look thoughtless and gash.

Just completed it. I basically put emphasis on the fact that the tower & laurels are the main two priorities and that it really doesn't need to name of the club on it beyond a simple "EFC". Also put emphasis on the fact that it needs to retain a sense of simplicity, both that the shape isn't over complicated (just the original shield) and the colours are right (simply royal blue & white).

Very pleased with the questionnaire overall. Went quite in depth and this should hopefully give the club a much better idea of how it should be :)

My picks so far in no particular order.

3 really nice designs there.

I do think the top one is better when kept simple without the 'N.S.N.O' and the date.

Spurs and the sh1te have gone for the minimilist approach and I must begrudgingly admit it looks classy.

If it was good enough in the 80's......
