Unfortunately it'll be Baines at the weekend.

When Digne comes in after an hour it'll go to Seamus.

Hopefully Digne starts the third game and Seamus has it from the off there.

After that both Zouma and Mina should be fit and starting, and Digne has hopefully solidified his place.

Leaving Coleman as the captain.

Big Ashley has been given the armband loads of times ahead of Coleman, I suspect hes not in the running myself.
The same thought did cross my mind tbh, although I can't imagine why given he's the national team captain.

Oh God yes please.

Captain is very important for us. We need someone, as Rooney was briefly doing last year, to talk to referees, to pick up the players, to support the ones who make mistakes, to dictate the play if the team is either not calm or not aggressive or quick enough. Jagielka has been a great 'role model' or ' ambassador' type captain, and I'm sure he will continue to be a model in that way, but it's time for a different type of captain.
COleman is an easy logical choice, but I would even go for Pickford as a more adventurous one or Sigurdsson, though I don't know what kind of character he is when he captains Iceland

So whilst Jagielka was meekly accepting his red card what was captain-in-waiting Coleman doing during all this?

Take it he was shouting and screaming in the refs face like everyone reckons he should.

Actually fair enough, I was also thinking the captain should be screaming and arguing all the time, but Coleman or some other 'Captain' should have definitely argued with the ref then quickly supported Jags and rallied around...i didn't watch in person or on highlights yet - did anyone notice anything happen like that? Someone on the pitch should have at that moment encouraged the team and in any case the team did respond well!

By the way, I'm totall out of it as i've been away - who did get the captaincy after Jags?
