..i’m old but I don’t remember Labone or Radcliffe being particularly vocal or in the referees face. The timing is probably right to appoint a new skipper but Jagielka has been a fine professional and from what I hear has the total respect of teammates and is highly thought of throughout the game.

Yes was a fine pro. But he has captained a side who are the greatest bunch of marsh mallows in recent history. Cant remember a side as spineless in my time. It has become the norm for everton to get hammered 3/4/5 nil. One doesnt have to be vocal but his ability is gone( maybe 1 decent game in 5) and he spends most of his time on all fours looking at the ball in the net. Finsihed as a player and should have not been captain.

Jagielka has been a good player and an exceptional servant of our football club. He has always treated our club and fans with respect and deserves to be called an Evertonian.
I find it disappointing when he is unnecessarily insulted and disrespected on what is an Everton forum by a fellow Evertonian.
Sad.

Indeed....he has been called a bad influence in the dressing room by so called Everton "fans" who haven't a clue what they are talking about...

..I suspect the performance of the team is more to do with Managers than the Captain.
