He has only played in two games - he was solid yesterday & can only get better with match fitness imo -

Yeah well that is always my fear with Patterson. But I think I'm getting to the point where I'd take the hit on Patterson being at right back to keep O'Brien alongside Tarkowski. Whatever you make of Patterson, he's (1) an actual right back and (2) he's been very unlucky with injuries and (3) he's young enough to improve and lastly (4) by playing him you're giving him a chance to earn a move to a more suitable club in the summer.

People keep saying he's "an actual RB"...how? In what way?

RBs dont need to have a winger provide a shield for them all game, and RBs in this day...
