2025/26 Nathan Patterson

He’s been absolutely sound. There can be no doubt, that we’ve looked so much more solid with Patterson at right back, and O’Brien at centre half. Patterson has played his part in the clean sheets we’ve had in the recent games he’s started. Completely unnecessary to have square pegs in round holes, and move players out of position when we have an actual right back, fit and available.

Where do they make these stats up?

The aerial duels for instance: I saw one such 'duel' late on yesterday when Patterson raced ahead of a winger to head the ball out of play. A 'duel'.

Ten 'defensive contributions': taking a pass and giving it to someone else - so what? Ten - in 94 minutes of football for a RB. Lol.

I suppose if you really want to justify the inclusion of someone you could make nonsense stuff up like 'A view from the Bullens'.

I know what I saw: a RB that tucked in behind McNeill and hardly ventured forward all game and offers us nothing other than someone to stand in empty space and discourage an opposition player from moving into it. FFS, anyone off this forum could do that if they're fit enough to run around for 94 minutes.

When are people going to stop making excuses for a so called professional footballer at this level? 'He did well yesterday'. FFS. Talk about damned with faint praise.

He's lower league standard at the very best.

Are you not a fan of his then?

As pleasing as it is when he makes himself available for selection and turns in an ok-ish performance, we need to remember he's declared himself unavailable for 25% of the time he's been on the payroll here, it's imperative we sign a capable and committed rightback before the window closes

Has he made a independent declaration of unavailability? Or has he just been injured, which often happens to pro athletes
