2025/26 Nathan Patterson

People forget how integral he was last time he had a run in the team.

He absence is a large part of the reason that Lampard went to crap in the end.
It's genuinely weird to me how people memory holed how promising he was at the beginning of his first full season here, to the point where just before his injury, games commentators (at least on international feed) started getting into that annoying "rumours are, [insert sky 6 team] is looking at him" territory. He's not the best in the world and never will be, but the narrative around him like he's worse than Cuco Martina is bonkers. He's a legitimate option at right back who has had significant fitness issues in his career, nothing more and nothing less.

Keane and Patterson. Certain posters on here are desperate for them to fail because they've set their stall out on them. Patterson is still playing within himself, probably tactically instructed to do so. However, he is showing some of the form that made us sign him.

Sevilla had a deal for him agreed in the summer, Everton pulled the plug. Sevilla rarely sign poor players.
I've been pleasantly surprised since Patterson came back in, but you are wrong on the Sevilla point. This isn't the same Sevilla that dominated the Europa League. They finished last season 17th, a point above the bottom three and are doing the same this season. They are more like the Spanish Everton circa 2023 right now.

Fair play to him for fighting his way back into the squad and then the team. Sometimes you just need a chance, and he is taking his in that he is solid and not giving up mistakes (which he was early on his stint here).
I really hope stick with him at right back leaving obrien in the middle.
I dont want to see Keane brought back in when available.

It is the PL and with little game time he looks fine. If he can stay fit will get better.

Had been plenty of time after that he just looks lost bad positional sense when was defendind because of the lack of games. Just got to the point here is no going onbe the option going forward at he club at rb, dont think he is terrible just not going be first choice here and needs games to improve just best for us and the club he leaves

No doubt he'll declare himself unavailable for selection once the transfer window closes and take up his customary position on the treatment table, but fair play to the lad, he's filled a gap for us when we're down to the bare bones.
