I understood the substitution, he was brought on to mark Doku but did wonder whether bringing George on for Rohl and leaving O’Brienmight actually have been more useful as City were really pushing on and he could actually have caused them real problems with his pace on the break and chasing lost causes.

Came on for one reason and one reason alone: stick like glue to Doku...his only contribution to the night ends up being flat on his back as Doku skipped away from him and watching his effort sail into the top right hand corner of the net.
Has there ever been a bigger failure at this club in the last 2/3 decades? Not in my estimation.
Anyway, the manager made all the wrong decisions so ultimately he doesn't put himself on the pitch, I suppose. The lad would rather have been at home sitting on the couch eating fried bananas.

If it's any help to @davek I thought Patterson was at fault for the first two goals as well, even if he wasn't on the pitch, no matter, being on the bench is enough anyway, great result for Hearts btw, they've been top most of the season and totally deserve their league title, not over like because luck can play a big part. Look at last night for instance.
