Moyes Watch @ Real Sociedad

see as much as I don't dislike him like others I personally wouldn't want to see him in the premiership for a while. maybe by taking a championship team up yeah, but not directly in. It just creates a grudge match in the media for him that shouldn't really exist because he isn't exactly thought of too well here anymore and untied glad to see the back of him.

hope he uses his head and picks the right championship job and builds a new career from there. Would be glad to see him back in those circumstances

I do think he got a raw deal at United - Van Gaal has basically survived due to his previous track record or he'd be out too.

But I think he fell into relying on being given time and allowed to start a season slow with his time with us, that it's now engrained in how he manages.

That didn't cut it at United. Didn't cut it abroad.

The minute he realises he had it lucky with us (ie a club that gave him time) and that it won't happen again, the better manager he'll be.

To quote the great Harry Callahan..

He's our best manager for the last 20 years. Have a bit of respect

OMG i can't say that with a straight face. This popcorning malarkey is difficult
I'll offer him the same level he offered us the moment he left us thanks.
Reality is calling. Won nothing. Will be but a passing moment in the history of our club when people look back.

It's a cliche, but when the players aren't playing for you that is hard to come back from - which is apparently the case with Sociedad at he moment. Given he'll have no friends in the media or other support network there, it's even harder.

Martinez did well to recover last season tbh - couple of games around Christmas time the team definitely stopped playing for him, some totally abject performances. Don't think I've ever seen a bigger gap in ability and actual performance level from an Everton side, actually. Very concerning trajectory was developing but he managed to arrest that and get them playing (a bit).
Think we had a lot of half-fit players on the pitch. Injuries really did us last season.
