So we've got the 14th highest net-spend on transfer fees and player/coach wages in the period from 2002-2012?

Ok, I will say it's justified to state we're doing very well and better than projected in terms of consistent league positions under David Moyes.

I still stand by my opinion that repeating this ad nauseum ensures a lack of superiority-complex in the players which in turn translates itself out onto the pitch when the opposition is well up for it (i.e. during important cup games).

Good management is many things, Moyes has a lot covered, but not all.

Agree mate.

The fact that the team was capable of beating spurs, utd and city at home but lose 3-0 to fecking wigan in the big cup game shows a real weakness in his character and his team's character.

Wouldn't have happened under Joe Royle.

It's like this.

If you get half a domino's pizza, pepperoni passion. Small. and thats your controlled revenue. ok?

Then another half of a small ham and pineapple pizza.

You get 100%. Your controlled revenue being 50% i.e. a half a small pepperoni passion.

If the Ham and pineapple pizza is suddenly half a large one (i.e. revenue outside your control increases),

well, that's a lot of pineapple.

Ok, so your half a small tasty pepperoni passion, isn't equal to the large half a hawaiin. so.

Maybe its like I dunno 33% and the half of the pineapple and ham is like 66%. So

you now have 33% pepperoni passion and 66% ham and pineapple.

But in actual fact, you've still got a half a small pepperoni passion.

Half of a small Pepperoni Passion.

I rest my case.

You can't use percentages.

Has our controlled revenue gone up in "£'s"? since 2007?????

f*** percentages,

I want to know if I've got a half a medium pepperoni passion now goddammit.

No it's gone down in real terms as said earlier in the thread.

i think after the Wigan fiasco, another big game where we sh1tout, he needs to shut the fook up for a while. If he stays all these comments are not helping. If he goes these comment may make it end a bit sour which would be a shame. Eother way, stop telling us what we should and shouldn't think. I am a grown up you know

Oh my, I'm lost for words.

The revenue has gone down from 32 million to 27 million, we will leave the percentage out for you.

Wouldn't have happened under Joe Royle.

Lost 2-1 away against Port Vale in the 4th round after drawing 2-2 at home in 95/96.

Lost at 3-2 home against Bradford in the 4th round in 96/97.

Oh how the passage of time mellows the memory.

I didn't read the earlier posts,
I like to join conversations half way through,

I demand the removal of pineapple away from my pepperoni passion, at least 5 metres.

We are screwed financially though, and it seems all the other clubs around us are out performing us commercially.

Papering over the cracks then, meltdown coming.

Villa plummeted fairly rapido.

Could be us next then.

Back to the last day drama's, fantastic.

by the way, pineapple, no no no no not for me.

ha! there's nothing like hard facts...

I read one just now while perusing some ex-blues on Wikipedia: we sold the in-form Peter Beardsley because...wait for it...we couldn't refuse 1.5m for a 32-year old as we were experiencing financial difficulties.

The rot set in long before Moyes and Kenwright, to be fair those two have much improved matters, on & off the field. We're still a couple of steps away from how we were in the 80's, and to get there we may need a new owner/manager partnership.

Ahhhh. Pineapple on pizza now I understand. Way better to have revenue outside your control.

Pineapple on pizza rocks!
