Moyes admits desire to manage in Germany

You really do talk some garbage.

We can dominate large periods of a few games with attacking passing football, that's true; for the most part, though, it's not to be seen other than in one or two moves per game. The rest of the time we work it diagonally and long.

We are not, and never have been under Moyes, a good footballing side.

Dont/Wouldnt blame Moyes for that though. Twice we should have pushed on as a club and twice the board failed to deliver. Should of invested more when we finished fourth and again when we actually got to the FA Cup Final, we never and we have suffered the last few years because of it.

I am no fan of the board and am if anything a supporter of change but the year we finished fourth moyes had money and failed, by his own doing , to bring in his top two targets namely Bellamy & Parker.

The board are defo primarily to blame, but Moyes has stuck around to assemble teams that'll finish off the pace of the one's he's produced before. That's why it's relevant to the claim 'we're heading in the right direction' under him.

So Moyes accepting the reality, honouring his contract & doing his best with what's at his disposal is somehow wrong in your World?

I can't believe the attitude of some Blues to this issue, it's 1970's shop steward logic

You not been for a while lad?

How are we doing that exactly? We were challengers for 5th a few seasons back and now we know almost before a kick is taken each season Everton will finish 7th or 8th. How is that 'heading constantly in the right direction'?

We dont. We have a team that every now and again gives a glimpse of attacking play that makes everyone scratch their heads and wonder why it isn't deployed more than it is; more commonly we use chip forward that bypasses midfield. Jagielka told everyone what the manager's philosophy is a few weeks back after the Derby: he likes the ball worked from back to front as quick as possible and believes if the ball isn't in the opposition half then that's a problem. There are many teams in this league much more comfortable ion the ball as a unit than we are. We have superior players to them too, so there's really no excuse for us to be getting rid asap, which is the case much of the time. It's cringeworthy football by and large.

We have one of the most attacking teams in Europe according to several posts showing the amount of chances made, if you really think we just play hoofball then there is nothing Moyes could ever do to make you happy. We've played a lot of very good football, been the better team game after game except maybe one or two games, we've been denied wins by poor refs and the odd stupid lapse in defense and have been all round the best we've been in many years.
As for how have are we heading in the right direction.. Pace down both wings... Good goal scorer.. Felli on fire.. Gibson looking excellent.. good start to the season. And so on.. but don't worry about that. because we like to play it forwards quickly so he's ****e.
I swear you really would be happier as a Red. They play it slowly around their defence for hours, they have won things, they hate Everton.. Everything is there for you.

I think moyes has done a really good job and generally done well in the transfer market although all this 'net spend' stuff is influenced by the sales of players like Rooney and Rodwell who aren't players he brought in.

I've no desire to chase moyes out but if you look at the team (I totally accept a team built by moyes) where would you see that team finishing ? Our wage bill also puts us around and about the level we tend to finish . So I don't really buy into the overachieving tag except as I say in the market where we tend to do well.

As a club we've done well under moyes although the lack if trophy will probably haunt his legacy and him himself and I'd he resigns I certainly wouldn't be disappointed . However this football club was formed in 1878 not when moyes arrived , this club survived without Dixie dean , Brian labone , Alan ball , andy Gary , graham sharp , sheedy , southall and a lot more so it'll be here and may well surprise us if and when moyes moves on.

The majority of Evertonians clearly rate moyes but those in charge at spurs & Chelsea clearly didn't see what 'we' do . There is a reason the manager talks about going overseas & I've said this before this interview because he's said it before . If moyes goes where would he see himself if not abroad ? United will not (in my opinion ) appoint a trophy less manager , as I've said Chelsea & spurs don't fancy him and have had plenty of opportunities although I do believe moyes feels he'd have a chance (believe it or not ) of making an arsenal shortlist . If moyes went overseas he'd have a chance to return to the prem with maybe a trophy or two and champions league experience even a failure wouldn't hurt his cv . The only thing it's cost moyes would be in the terms of wages but as a long term plan it makes sense.

Recently he came out with an interesting line saying (regarding his staying on and signing a new contract) that sometimes it's *just time* to move on. That you sense it and that sometimes things need freshening up for both managers and supporters. I dont think he will go because he's well boxed off here financially, but what he said there rang true. If he signs I dont think it'll give us any lift whatsoever. Most will just heave a huge sigh of relief he has signed because they feel with him in charge that the boards incompetency and continued failure to invest wont at least plunge us into a relegation dogfight and probably continue mid table respectability. That's where we are as a club. Just happy to be respectable. It's a disgrace. It's not good enough and never ever will be.

You mistaking the board for the manager here? Sounds like you are blaming him for dealing and coping with the limitations imposed by the board?

You've lost direction if you think the 11 years served up by Moyes has been good football.

We've been ok. Not great or good. Just ok. It's a huge conceit to think we play good football for the most part, because we dont.

The football we have played this season and the second half of 2011/12 is not 'cringeworthy by and large' in any respect. That's reflected in the fact that we're 6th in the league and have been praised by all corners of the media for playing so well. The displays against Swansea, United, and Villa this season contained some of the best football we've played in the last ten years.

Saying what you said goes beyond having a negative outlook to simply not being true.

The stat is about chances created. That doesn't necessarily equate with good football does it? And I haven't said we dont play good football, I've said we dont play enough of it. That's because we dont have a manager who's confident enough in his players (the bulk of whom are high quality) to keep the ball (especially when we're under the cosh). It's also why we see a good technical player like Barkley marginalised.

We've played better for long periods in certain games just this season. This season has been half a season long, though.

That's your subjective opinion, not fact.

I disagree & think that there's been spells during Moyes tenure when we've played some great football. This season being the most enjoyable. The attack minded side that he's put out most weeks has been a pleasure to watch most weeks.

You labelling it merely 'Ok' & nothing more, is driven by your agenda imo.
