Clapton, Page and Beck, (bit meh him mind), and hugely recognised in Merica as being important.

Less so over here.

I've always thought Nick Drake is a bit overrated. Not bad at all but I guess what happened helped.

Much prefer Bill Fay.

Saw them live a few times. Amazing show at a venue in Portland, Oregon called The Crystal Ballroom. What a venue.

The only negative I can say is that Doug Martsch tended to get a bit indulgent with extended solos live.

Should be the biggest death metal band of all-time imo. To me this is the best album the genre have ever produced (disclaimer: I obviously haven't heard them all lol).

I do own an album from these guys and it's quite good. I do however prefer my music (at least death metal) a bit more stripped down and primitive.

Boys and Girls / Avalon have got to be two of the most beautifully produced albums of all time.

The layers of sound on both is just glorious.

Also gonna put Primus in the mix. Excellent musicians. Like a really weird Rush.

Love Primus me. Not sure if their music is underrated though, I got the feeling quite many know who they are and they got a lot of views on youtube.

BUT I think their musicianship can be underrated, many think of Claypool (and rightly so since he's the most prominent) but the band as a whole is incredibly gifted and has to match Claypool's abilities.
