I can understand all the people who want him out but we all knew at the beginning of the season this was going to be tough.
we need to stick with him and give him time to sort the mess he inherited out.
If in the summer there is a proven manager available who would take the job fair enough bring him in otherwise I would stick with him until next Christmas and give him time to prove his worth.

Nar he screwed Christmas up for himself yesterday, hes got till May to prove hes worth retaining.

There was still money to spend despite Koemageddon. We spent £50m the following January. There was no excuse for Walsh not to find us a defence and a centre forward in the entire footballing world in 18 months.
I think they thought Sandro was the new Aguero and that Rooney still had 'it'.

The current mess we're in is down to two people:

Moshiri and Koeman.

Moshiri and Koeman visited shock and awe on Everton FC; the organisation is still emerging from the rubble, stumbling about looking for help.
Plenty have stumbled from the rubble, but I can only think of 2 that made a decent fist of it, Germany & Japan, both had reputations for hard work, efficiency and ruthlessness...and had the Marshall plan or a version thereof to help.
Nobody is ever going to associate EFC with hard work, efficiency and ruthlessness and all we have is the Moshiri plan.
Which consists of (revised 2.0 version) build stadium, sell on, gtfo tout suite.
Version 3.0; depending on finances, might yet turn to just gtfo.

I dunno. A large chunk of the cash were for players Koeman really wanted - Keane, Siggy, Klassen, Rooney.
Before Rooney actually signed Koeman stated - yes he could work with Rooney...seems to me this was like saying I can live with it if I have too but it wouldnt be my first choice.

This was all Kenwright, it is right down his sentimental, teary, theatrical happy ever after street. He had this idea in his head from the day of Fergusons testimonial, when everybody, players and fans were all together now / happy blue families on the day.

Koeman was the biggest mistake in the club’s history.

Walsh takes a lot of stick. He should never have been given the DoF title, he was a head scout.

I don’t believe for a second that Walsh signed Sigurdsson or Williams or Bolasie or Cuco or Keane or decided to extend Mirallas. Gana & Lookman would be Walsh’s work. The overpriced dross all have Koeman written all over them.
Not even walker

Valencia fans reckon it took years for them to recover after Koeman. Looks like it will be the same for us trying to get rid of every player Koeman and Walsh signed for us.

Everton for a team who have been in the top division from forever have been a bit of a basket case for a while. And Moshiri instead of sorting it out and laying the foundations for a new more professional era, has done nothing more than take up basket weaving.

The board room has changed, but I still see familiar faces. Have the commercial deals really improved over and above what came before? At least we don't have many unsaleable assets on long term high value deals... oh.

Strangely enough I don't know if we are actually within touching distance of turning things around. I always say that luck is just taking your opportunities. City took theirs with the Mansoors, United with Ferguson and the 92 youth team, rs with their unholy alliance with Satan to name a few examples. Do I think Everton could wring any advantage given to them though?

My answer to that, unfortunately, is no.

We have 3 decent central defenders in Zouma, Mina and Keane, a decent keeper in Pickford, decent full back options, a decent DM in Gana, decent midifeld options in Gomes and Davies, decent attackers in Richarlison and Bernie and Walcott and Lookman. They might not be top drawer in some cases, but they should be more than capable of showing resilience and battling out points and wins at home against the likes of Wolves. I blame the manager for not demanding a decent striking option, the DOF for not insisting on it, and the owner for not having them through the wringer for not having one in place in Silva's first season. I blame the manager for not getting that team to be hard to beat whilst not fashioning out chances. And with those defenders, he shouldn't be conceding many at all if they were set out right. I then go to the DOF and Moshiri for not demanding the same.

Silva is Moshiri's man. Arguably his first choice that we are seeing and I am starting to lose patience with him now and I really wanted him to succeed - too much more and he'll be poison to some of the fans. At all levels in the club we have seen failings. In that case, the buck does stop with Moshiri. Everton may be his plaything and he doesn't need to answer to us, but if I was in his position, I'd be asking some serious questions about the whole set up yet again. The birthing pains of his reign need to be got over soon, otherwise he needs to reconsider some of them. In business, you don't get long at the top if you aren't performing, and if he is a business man, then I see the same happening around the club.

I'd almost forgotten about the role of Koeman and Walsh in our current mess!
Guilty as charged I reckon on all counts of helping to ruin our great club.
And we are still a great club; it just doesn't feel like it at the moment.
How could you?
It's the reason we just went through a month of being able to sign players but didn't.

Rooney still ended up being our top goalscorer and for the most part best player that season.

It could've worked out with the right management.

What is someone like Franny Jeffers doing loitering around this club?I mean he buggered off to Arsenal, and then did nothing with his playing career.Im sorry if that sounds harsh, but it wanted saying. There seems to be this sycophantic jobs for the boys network, at Finch Farm.I would have a lot of respect for Moshiri, if he broke it up tbh.

I agree 100% CE.
I remember the Jeffers saga very well, when he effectively stuck two fingers up to the club and its fans, believing himself to be a far better player than he ever was. (Sound familiar, Barkley?)
Why on earth we would have somebody like that having any influence on our Academy players has baffled me since his appointment.
As you say CE, 'jobs for the boys'.
