Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Johnson is probably the worst PM I have seen. Thatcher was very difficult and hurt many people with her policies particularly in the north of England.

Our Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Haughey was able for her, and in her memoirs she actually wrote well of him.

However, in hindsight I think she was far more capable that Johnson. I don't think he will last much longer as PM
Unpopular opinion, but - there's a reason she's known as the iron lady. She was difficult and hurt many people, definitely, especially up North and Scotland, but it wasn't for nothing in the long run and most of her decisions weren't a joke or even remotely easy.

She was intelligent, firm, straight as a die.
She dismantled the coal industry - 40 years later people can't afford to heat their homes

I won't list the damage she did in NI - many lives lost on all sides because of her stubbornness.

However this twit with his nice but dim constant sneering face is atrocious.

No confidence in Keir either btw

The coal and heat thing isn't really true or that related to today's plight, but yes, major damage done because of political reasons and anti-unionising.

Use to go to Woolton most weekends, the coffe house, baby elephant, grapes, cobden
and end up in squires the night club, fell down then stairs a few times

Woolton Village is one of my favourite places.

I was actively searching for a house there recently until the new build I'm buying turned up in Bowring Park.

It's not too far away...

Hahaha, I was actually talking about @Barnfred 55 dish cooking for tonight’s tea which is not curry but a Chinese rice. He said he was having a lazy day but then ended up cooking a labour intensive dish.
Right, so here we go.

Do you remember I was going to ask my neighbours son, Peter, around for drinks and something to eat when the rest of his family headed off to Southampton to their boat. Well I had it in my head that it would be tomorrow or maybe Sunday, and I intended to cook the food I had tonight because I knew he liked Chinese. He's a chip off the old block when it comes to fussy eating. Anyway I phoned him this afternoon to ask him around, and whilst he said he'd love to, he also said he'd have to consult his dairy to see when he was free. I mean, this is the guy that rarely leaves his house and by all account spends 99% of his time in front of his computer screen. lol Anyway he rext me earlier to say Tuesday would be good for him.

So some of this stuff needed eating this weekend, so I decided to cook it tonight. I was intending to have a ready made lasagna that just needed bunging in the oven for half an hour. I'll have that tomorrow or Sunday instead. I've decided to cook a Thai curry on Tuesday and he seemed happy with this so happy days.

It's been a bit overcast today but tomorrow the forecast is good so I'd rather be out walking or sitting on a beach than stuck in a kitchen over a stove.

It is very hard for a non resident to understand the situation but my one and only wish for as long as I can remember is for peace ,it matters not to me who is the political leader just please have peace . I am not in anyway a political wizzard just a peace loving man who wants it for the whole world .I hope you get a brilliant leader , here in Finland we have a president and had a prime minister both women and first class politicians .
I was thinking of posting something similar Blue. Over the years I've come to dislike politics immensely because it is generally so polarised and antagonistic.

Just come across a concert/documentary on Sky Arts of Deep Purple in 1993. Looks like their classic line up with Blackmore, Gillan and Glover so that's my viewing sorted for the next 90 minutes. Maybe an early night then if the weather's going to be nice tomorrow, ;)
