Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all. I love this thread. Hoovers and innuendo with a bit of casual sexism thrown in. ? Has made me proper laugh this morning. Dad has had first dialysis session and is still in hospital. Another one scheduled for tomorrow. I'll probably go to Liverpool early next week and stay for a few days.
I'm very excited. I'm going out tonight. Out out. In Durham - to a pub with beer and vodka and pork scratchings. This will involve wearing shoes and make up. I'm meeting up with some of my friends who were old Trade Union colleagues in my previous job. A night of drinking and talking leftie bollocks with mandatory chips on the way home awaits.
Best of luck to your dad Anje

Sorry to be so brief in the morning but at this time of year it is hectic ,I have a log splitter so don't use an axe so much ,quite fun at the last house ,when I used it all the lights in the house went dim because it drew too much power.
In this house we have to pay business rates for electric and have 3 x 65amp main fuses so it isn't a bother .
I understand electrics and I phoned them up because our bills are quite low so we obviously don't need the business rates but the theory is that if you have everything on together it must be able to cope ,so that is that.
I moved a lot of trunk pieces and chopped a bit so now my back is in bulk and it is time to have a cuppa ,later it is tinto de verano's all round .Just to upset the purists ,yes that is the two stooges @jazzy and @Barnfred 55 ,we are having bruschetta for lunch ,home made of course , the toms have been weeping for hours .
Tonight it is blue cheese and chicken pasta
Sounds delicous , gotta love a bit of bread and tomatoes.

Glad to say I feel tons better. Legs still a bit weak as I haven't been able to walk more than 20 yards for several months. Must get out and about. Managed to drive into Maidenhead yesterday (about 10 miles) and visited some friends and did some shopping. Her indoors is now on morphine and we have MacMillan nurses booked, so still some cloudy skies about.
Good and bad news there M .

My very best wishes to you and your wife.

Morning all, hope all is good with you and special shout out to your hoovers as well ?

Rain here has spoiled my plans to cut the hedges but can’t say I’m disappointed as I’ll be glued to the election coverage. Could be a big day for us lot.

Think I might nip out for a pub lunch today as well, still mulling it over. Should put it to a vote here really ?

Thinking of you both. Can’t be easy but you seem blessed with very supportive kids.

Well I vote you should go AT and I'm sure Anj will second that. ;)

Right. I'm glad that's settled.

You stick it on the end of your hair dryer and it miraculously makes your hair dry curly rather than frizzy. Is that about it Anj?

Cal used to have a hair diffuser and she didn't even have curly hair. Will somebody p;ease explain that to me. lol
Witchcraft if you ask me Fred.

As for why Cal had one? Sheesh, I’m in over my head here and I have to go out lunch remember!!??!!
