Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Glad to say I feel tons better. Legs still a bit weak as I haven't been able to walk more than 20 yards for several months. Must get out and about. Managed to drive into Maidenhead yesterday (about 10 miles) and visited some friends and did some shopping. Her indoors is now on morphine and we have MacMillan nurses booked, so still some cloudy skies about.
Pleased you are feeling better. How's the new home? Still loving it? Love to Mrs M.

Glad to hear you're feeling better M. Is that the heart medication taking effect?
Don't think so. It seems to be related to the fact that I am eating a lot better. Lost 2 stone put half a stone back on. They have decided not to proceed with chemo or an op, so there doesn't seem much point in the heart medication, which is why they started it.

Sorry to be so brief in the morning but at this time of year it is hectic ,I have a log splitter so don't use an axe so much ,quite fun at the last house ,when I used it all the lights in the house went dim because it drew too much power.
In this house we have to pay business rates for electric and have 3 x 65amp main fuses so it isn't a bother .
I understand electrics and I phoned them up because our bills are quite low so we obviously don't need the business rates but the theory is that if you have everything on together it must be able to cope ,so that is that.
I moved a lot of trunk pieces and chopped a bit so now my back is in bulk and it is time to have a cuppa ,later it is tinto de verano's all round .Just to upset the purists ,yes that is the two stooges @jazzy and @Barnfred 55 ,we are having bruschetta for lunch ,home made of course , the toms have been weeping for hours .
Tonight it is blue cheese and chicken pasta
I'm impressed you can make your own bruchette Blue. I can't even spell it.lol

Lovely to hear you are getting about a bit better -small steps is the order of the day .Sorry to hear that the good wife is having to take so strong painkillers ,does she have it on a button ? Those nurses are a gift from above ,a job that deserves all the praise they can get .Stay strong and good luck ,of course best wishes to the boss.

blue 1948, No, they are in tablet form at the moment, not quite as strong as the button job.

Just went to the shop for bread as I'd forgotten to order it and I bought 4 pints of milk, got home and remembered I'd ordered a 6 Pinter so now I'll have 10 pints before it goes off, thankfully I bought a big box of chocolate shreddies, what a numpty.
Just have an extra glass of milk a day T. You'll soon get through that. Won't do you any harm.

I missed this bit. You must have added it afterwards you rascal. This must be really hard for you mate because I know from experience with my parents that they become a lot less lucid once they are on morphine. But at least she won't be in pain. God love her. And you. Really feel for you M. You're being amazingly stoic but I know you must be hurting inside.

It was pointless staying in work in LR on a Friday pm. All the solicitors we ever needed to contact would be having long lunches with their clients or each other. That's my excuse anyway lol Sorry @jazzy.
Jazzy was never part of that set Anj. He used to spend his Friday afternoons driving around running over drunken civil servants in the streets then handing out his business cards afterwards. lol
