Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

He also seems to suffer from injuries quite a lot. I may be doing him a disservice there but he seems to be missing quite a lot.

But who else is there who is International quality. Bairstow? Buttler? Are they even captain material.?

Are there any outstanding captains out there that you would have in just for that quality. I don't know?
My choice would have been Stuart Broad but he isn't a guaranteed team member. Or persuade Eoin Morgan to come across to Test cricket. He does seem to have good leadership qualities.

Removal men are packing up as I type. Move tomorrow. Could do without the hassle, last move though.
Presumably you are moving closer to your daughters M. If so, it'll probably be worth the hassle giving what you and Mrs M are going to go through in the near future. Hope the move goes as seamlessly as possible. The ones we had a couple of years ago were very good and jumped through hoops for us and took a lot of the stress out of it.

Think Broad may have been a good stop gap appointment but not for the long term. He's no spring chicken and not sure he could bowl back to back tests through a whole series, and his batting isn't anywhere near good enough to be considered an all rounder..

Morgan's a good shout though. I somehow missed that before. Just read the name Broad and my keyboard warrior instincts came into play lol

People on twitter now saying the Raiola not dead after all. Just false rumours. Watch this space.

The weather here is getting very British .
Sun this morning then about 1pm snow followed by rain and now it is sleeting .
Just goes to show how long you've left these shores.
Our weather is now dry , sometimes overcast but often sunny.
Can't remember when it last rained.
This is climate change in action folks.
I'd be very worried if I had grandkids.

In fact me and Mrs J were chatting about holidays earlier and traditionally we go to Europe in May and September.
This year we are thinking of Northumberland in September....shouldn't be too hot should it @anjelikaferrett ? lol

It will be positively tropical! Shorts and flip-flops mandatory. More seriously it is stunningly beautiful. Alnwick, Bamburgh, Holy Island. All beautiful. If I remember rightly Alnwick Gardens are quite famous and have a poison garden that you can only go on with a guide and aren't allowed to touch or sniff any of the plants.

Yep all those places plus Seahouses on our list. Anywhere else we should see. We are thinking of staying a bit inland at Otterburn that's not too far to those places?
