Good luck getting back into the work routine, Ange. Btw, I meant to mention the other day that your niece is such a cutie, she also looks lovely in Blue and there is no bias to that comment.

Phew, good thing getting the oven fixed is not expensive. Our clothes dryer has began making some crazy noises and I’m afraid it is not going to be a cheap fix.

I hope the sun has broken through for you @Gwladysover and sorry to hear Posh got relegated. So what division would they play now, third? And what happens to a team that gets relegated from there?
Sassy I won't reply on behalf of Gwladys re Peterborough ( Posh ) but will give you a bit of background on the league system of football in England.
I'm sure my friends on here will correct the inevitable errors.

We have what is called a pyramid system that in theory gives every club in England the possibility of progressing to the Premier league.

Top league : Premier
Next ; Championship
Then ; Division 1
Then ; Division 2

After this we have what is referred to as non league but again there is a structure that allows clubs to be promoted from the non league to the football league and ultimately ( in theory ) to the Premier League.

This has actually happened albeit before the rebranding into the Premier league. Wimbledon ( now AFC Wimbledon) rose from the Conference ( non league ) to the old division 1 and even won the FA Cup beating the RS in the final. It wasnt even that long ago - late 90s I think. They used to only get crowds of about 7000!

So, to give you a bit of perspective my home City of Plymouth play in D1 and hope to make the play offs to get into the Championship. I guess they get crowds of about 12000

Derby ( Rooney is manager) , Barnsley and Peterborough have just been relegated from the Championship.

The team most local to me , Southport, play in National league North ( 2 divisions below) Division 2 and get crowds of about 1500.

All of the 72 teams in the football league are fully professional as are about 20 non league teams.

Hope this helps!

So, apart from the football how is everyone this morning. I wasn't well yesterday with the continuing symptoms of lethargy , aching and headaches. I was convinced that it was covid but the test said otherwise. Happily i feel much better today , just a bit weak.

So , no gym and probably just cut the grass after I've done mums weekly shop. Just taking it easy.

Try not to get consumed by Evertons plight everyone there are so many worse things happening in the World.

By the way I'm genuinely worried about our friend @Terrarian . @roydo is there any way the GOT management can get in touch with him to make sure that he's OK?

@jazzy

Hi mate. Checked it out, and if someone sends him a DM he will get an email notification from us anyrate, so try that is my suggestion.

Hey guys

We haven't heard from our mate @Terrarian for some time.

As you might not know he posted even more regularly in the "What are you listening to now " thread.

Knowing that he was suffering significant pain and distress I must confess that I am worried about him.

I've sent him a DM and as @roydo says GOT then email him to tell him he's got a message.

So what about we bomberd him with messages of support to get him back so we try to help him ?

It's just a thought??

Sunny now, Sass but the wind is very cool. Teams relegated from the Championship play in League One if they are relegated from there it is League Two. The bottom two teams in League Two drop out of the English Football League into the National League. There are teams in National League who used to be established Football League teams e.g. Notts County who have been in there years and have failed to get back into the League. Relegation can be a slippery slope for some. Hope it isn’t us.

Nice idea. Maybe spread the love though. I would hate him to feel overwhelmed by too many messages or pressurised into something he doesn't want to do. I'm happy to message him later - maybe another couple tomorrow and so on.
