Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all, I'm up bright and early having to put towels on our sunloungers.
It would be unfair to suggest which nationality is responsible for me having to put the alarm on to wake up from an alcohol infused slumber at 7am but Basil Fawlty would have a field day here.
Got our bearings on our first full day yesterday and having a relaxing day at the pool today.
I hope the sun is shining wherever you Mascoteers are today.
Have a brilliant holiday LT , you deserve it. Gotta love that free WiFi!

Morning all, cloudy but the sun is trying to break through. Hope you feel better today @jazzy, agree with what you say regarding our plight and trying to find a silver lining (I am a glass is almost empty kind of person) in the Championship there are a quite a few grounds convenient for me even though I may have to sit with the home fans, unfortunately Posh got themselves relegated on Saturday and that won’t be a fixture, if we do go down that’s doubly disappointing. Enjoy your day on the sun loungers @larbert toffee . Hope we hear from @Terrarian soon. Have a good day all.

Good morning, friends.

I have to admit that I still have a sour taste in my mouth because of yesterday’s defeat. Not because I thought we were going to win it, but because the match was stolen from us by the referee. There is clear bias against us in the PL and it has cost us all season, along with our poor playing of course. But how many times can refs do this to us without one seriously thinking this sport is as corrupt as it gets. Anyway, things are certainly not looking good at the moment for us, but we are not relegated until the season is over so I’m still hoping for us to be saved.

We are expecting another beautiful day in Asheville today, last night was so warm that we actually had to turn on the fans, but the temperatures are supposed to drop again later this week, hopefully not to freezing anymore. Have another busy week ahead of me, as my daughter has spring festival at her school and I’m supposed to coordinate some games for the kids. We also have a booth to sell craft as my daughter and I have been making earrings to sell but we still have to finish a few more.

@larbert toffee have a great holiday with your wife.

@jazzy I was also thinking about asking Roydo today if there was a way that he could reach out to @Terrarian as it is very concerning we have not heard from him for so long. I have his address but no phone number or email. Sometimes this is the only aspect I find frustrating about our friendships in here, that we really don’t have a way to get in touch with each other outside the forum. Let’s hope he is okay, along with another friend who visited occasionally this thread and hasn’t been at the forum for a while, I’m also concerned about her well-being. @Twinkletoes123 I hope all is well with you too. Lastly, I didn’t see @blue1948 post this morning and he usually is the first one to always do so, thus I hope everything is ok with you this morning as well.

I hope everyone has a good week, despite Everton’s latest results.

Hi Sassy ,

Yes we haven't heard from twinkletoes for awhile and after her upsetting situation over Christmas that is very worrying.

Re Terrarian. I know he lives in Cumbria. It's about 1.5 hours away but think that he lives very close to where Messy used to live and I wonder if we don't hear from him shortly and GOT can't help if Massys old mate Reedy could pop around to see if he's OK?

Good morning, Jazzy. I’m glad to read you are feeling a bit better today, hopefully Mrs. J is also improving.

It is very concerning that we haven’t heard from either of them. With twinkletoes, I’m concerned about her well being because of her situation, when it come to Terrarian, because of his health. Hmmmm, I guess if Roydo can’t help us, then maybe @Reedy1979 would be willing to do so, if is not too inconvenient for him. Like I mentioned before, I have his address because I sent him a gift a while back for his pain. But hopefully it won’t come to that and we hear from him soon again.

Morning all. I'm still sad about yesterday. I'm not saying we should have won but we didn't deserve to lose. Like you @jazzy I am dismayed by the refereeing. It is either incompetence or corruption. Genuinely I'm not sure which. Having seen how FIFA and UEFA conduct themselves then anything is possible. Whatever it is it needs investigating. Ive seen it reported today that PGMOL have said they would have had no issue with being a penalty being given. So why wasnt the ref sent to look at the screen? The VAR check must have lasted a nanosecond. If we go down by two points can we look at two non penalty decisions as the final straw. But I'm still hopeful. We've enough games to save this.
Hope you feel better Jazzy.

I'm fairly sure the mods will have real names and email addresses to reach out to our absent friends. They are good people and will do so if they are concerned. Love the pic of your boy @Toast. @larbert toffee Hope you are all having a great time. Which part of Lanzarote are you in? I've been to Playa Blanca. Really nice.

In other news, cloudy day here, I'm back at work and the oven blew up. I turned it on and all the electrics went off in the house. It needs a new element. Not very expensive so worth fixing rather than getting a new cooker.

Have a good day all. Keep the faith. It ain't over until the fat lady sings!

Good luck getting back into the work routine, Ange. Btw, I meant to mention the other day that your niece is such a cutie, she also looks lovely in Blue and there is no bias to that comment.

Phew, good thing getting the oven fixed is not expensive. Our clothes dryer has began making some crazy noises and I’m afraid it is not going to be a cheap fix.

I hope the sun has broken through for you @Gwladysover and sorry to hear Posh got relegated. So what division would they play now, third? And what happens to a team that gets relegated from there?

So, apart from the football how is everyone this morning. I wasn't well yesterday with the continuing symptoms of lethargy , aching and headaches. I was convinced that it was covid but the test said otherwise. Happily i feel much better today , just a bit weak.

So , no gym and probably just cut the grass after I've done mums weekly shop. Just taking it easy.

Try not to get consumed by Evertons plight everyone there are so many worse things happening in the World.

By the way I'm genuinely worried about our friend @Terrarian . @roydo is there any way the GOT management can get in touch with him to make sure that he's OK?

Will see what we can do.

She is getting to be a really good girl.
First 4 weeks were challenging to say the least but she is now fully house trained, loves her brother Tintin , is very respectful towards the cat and absolutely adores her granny.
Awe, you seem to have a happy family. Fresca has also been house and garden trained, or at least I hope. But she and Reese are still having a bitter relationship, well mostly him. Hopefully in time he will adjust and becomes more friendly towards her.
