Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Oh absolutely , as I said before ( either in this thread or main forum ) the tactics were spot on.
It was straight out of Mourinho's playbook of how to frustrate them. Frank obviously took notice of his old boss.
Refereeing is awful. It needs investigating, it is either corrupt or incompetent. Either way something needs doing about the standard

Terrible result today but at least we showed fight and a willingness to stick to a tactical plan.

If the ref does his job properly the RS are down to 10 in the 1st half ( Mane ) and we get a pen in the 2nd half at 0-0.

Strange how VAR doesn't intervene on either or on the blatant Man City handball.

Makes you wonder ..........
Say it Jazzy ?

I dared to dream before they scored, I would have loved to see Klopp at his press conference had we beaten them or got a point, he'd have just lost it.

Is the League corrupt and fixed or are we just jinxed and unlucky with incompetent officials?

Hard as it is , if it were the former it would be the conspiracy of all time and the lawyer in me says no .

Perhaps , in the worss of Paul.Simon ..."Paranoia strikes deep in the heartland but I think its all overdone"

I suspect there is simply a subconscious bias in favour of the big clubs and sadly my friends we ain't been one of them for some time.

Morning chums,

Woke up and it still feels like a bad dream.

Not for the first time we've not had the rub of the green from the officials but let's be honest we are in this position of spending half a billion pounds on players and being on the precipice of relegation because the recruitment has been beyond incompetent and this group of player are , well crap.

The upcoming fixtures suggest that we will go , who knows , in my heart I think that this season has been a season too far and yes we will go down.

As a club( say a business) we are at a crossroad.

The stadium construction massively complicates things. Were it not for that I think Moshiri would he looking for a reasonable offer and be offski.

The stadium adds value but also jeopardy.

I can't see anyone prepared to pay a premium for a championship club with the prospect of a world class stadium that might never be filled if Everton continue to underperform.

My analysis, fwiw is that Moshiri will stay and ensure that Everton are in the Prem when the stadium is built.

For sure there will be cost cutting . I can see Pickford, Keane , Allan , Doucoure , Mina and Richarlison being sold. DCL too , but can't see anyone paying decent money after this season. There will be recruitment but with only a fraction of sales money spent.

I would like to see a young hungry team emerging built around a defence of Patterson, Godfrey, Branthwaite and Mykolenko.
Gordon shows great promise but little end product and can develop with a season ( hopefully it's just that ) in the championship. Simms and Dobbin will get games and goals at that level.

So, yes it's a terrible day but every situation presents an opportunity. The question is whether Everton have the vision and nous to produce a team that can rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

So, apart from the football how is everyone this morning. I wasn't well yesterday with the continuing symptoms of lethargy , aching and headaches. I was convinced that it was covid but the test said otherwise. Happily i feel much better today , just a bit weak.

So , no gym and probably just cut the grass after I've done mums weekly shop. Just taking it easy.

Try not to get consumed by Evertons plight everyone there are so many worse things happening in the World.

By the way I'm genuinely worried about our friend @Terrarian . @roydo is there any way the GOT management can get in touch with him to make sure that he's OK?

Very eloquently put Jazzy.

I like your positive take on thins in a football sense Jazzy, the bit that concerns me is Moshiri staying with us, for me he is Tre main reason we're in this mess.

Moshiri may know how to run a business but he hasn't a clue how to run a football club.

At the end of theday I still live in hope that we avoid relegation I'm a glass half full guy but on the bright side if we go down at least I'll have a chance of getting a season ticket.

Good morning all, I'm up bright and early having to put towels on our sunloungers.
It would be unfair to suggest which nationality is responsible for me having to put the alarm on to wake up from an alcohol infused slumber at 7am but Basil Fawlty would have a field day here.
Got our bearings on our first full day yesterday and having a relaxing day at the pool today.
I hope the sun is shining wherever you Mascoteers are today.
