Had a lovely lunch down at Mylor Harbour on the River Fal. Muscles cooked in cider with chorizo. Very tasty. Over 600 boats, mainly sailing yachts, moored here. Fantastic natural sheltered harbour.

Hello all. We've had a really fun day today. The National Stud was fascinating. Saw loads of beautiful horses, foals and yearlings. Also got to see one of the stallions doing stallion things - he had four liaisons booked today. Here he is immediately afterwards, no doubt on his way for a brandy and a cigar! His name is Lope y Fernández.

They are called "covers". The top race horses will cost you £250000 per cover, believe it or not. (assuming there was a result several months later).
