Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Our bank closed the local branch some years ago and although everything has worked fine online and on the phone we decided it might be easier for the family when the time comes if they were actually able to visit a bank branch in person to sort things after we’ve gone. With this in mind we opened an account with a well known building society a few weeks ago. All the documents, cards etc came but with husband’s name spelled wrongly. Rang them but not able to change it over the phone needed to go into the branch with relevant id. Went back, everything sorted or so we thought until a new cheque book etc. arrived yesterday with the name still not corrected. So we decided to stay as we are and went in and closed down the new account, didn’t seem worth the aggravation. To their credit they did compensate us for the inconvenience and also offered us a refund on our travel costs unfortunately I said we had used our bus passes - I should have said we’d travelled by train.

Morning all, complete change in the weather, dull chilly and cold. We’re off to town to sort out something which was supposed to make things easier and hasn’t… more later.
Hoping that the Sunderland game is announced as confirmed for the Sunday.🤞🤞🤞
Have a good day, all.💙
Dull and chilly here too this morning, but it then developed into another georgeous day.
Hopefully it was the same where you are.

This is Car Mill Dam, which I believe is the largest body of fresh water in Merseyside.
Difficult to capture the size in a pic as the dam 'dog-legs'

Good morning all on this lovely day here in Finland ,I hope all are well and had a good night last night . I am still working on tidying outside although even the missus cannot see what I have been up to . Such is life ,she does though have a job for me as I walk through the door ! As if I had just been hiding in the garage sitting on a stool .
Have a great day all COYB

Morning all, sunshine here but decidedly chilly wind blowing. Walking past a booth where two men where trying to sign people up to an energy company yesterday when two police cars drew up. One of the men shouted “It’s ok, it’s not for me” Someone shouted “Have you ever been in trouble with the police?” “Yes” “Oh well, at least you’re honest!” came the reply. Ermm He’s been in trouble with the police!!
Time for the Sunderland game has been confirmed. Happy Days, I’ve only had the tickets booked since last June. I was so determined to get my nose in the trough.
Have a good day, all.💙
