Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Lol no. Never fed up of you!. Sleep patterns still the same. Wondering how it will be when I retire in two weeks.
It took me five years of feeling guilty for not earning my wages ,I was self employed so it might be different than some . Nice to see you still reading the post @Littlesue . The world will be a different place for you ,free to sleep in ,do nothing or travel , I have been retired officially 12 years but actually 15 years and I have lists of things to do most days . That is often due to the wife who has this ability to know when I stop moving whether she can see me or not !

Evening all.
Hope everybody is making the most of this wonderful weather. I absolutely love this time of the year.
I'm just back from a walk through a local woodland and I was left wondering who 'FK' might have been and whether he could ever have imagined that his carved graffiti would intrigue a 71 year old fool who wouldn't even be born until 7 years after his handiwork? 🤷‍♂️

Also from todays walk. This is 'Lady pond' IMG_3278.webp
What looks like a naturally ocurring pond that has formed in a hollow is in fact man made and is said to have initially been lined with marble.
It was originally a swimming/bathing pool constructed for the exclusive use of the Ladies of Bold Hall.
(incidentally William Shakespear is said to have once 'trod the boards' at Bold Hall)

Morning all, another glorious one here. We’re going to see a Beautiful South tribute band this evening, tickets were a Christmas present so have been looking forward to it for ages. Slight problem in that parking at the venue is limited, it’s a twenty minute walk at most so decided to walk as distance doesn’t justify a taxi. Daughter is unhappy that we are considering walking home at that time of night, she didn’t offer to come and pick us up though😂.
@Barnfred 55 , @jazzy , @Val P , hope all is well, no need to reply, just to say you are in my thoughts.
Have a good day, all.💙

Don’t think I mentioned this before but in our graveyard there is a headstone for a man who was a Post Master in Birkenhead. I often think of the irony of me being one of the few Everton fans here and finding this local link to Merseyside. He died long before I was born but I almost feel as if I know him.

I love The Beautiful South and I’m sure that will be a great night for you, tribute or otherwise. I saw Paul Heaton quite recently in Armagh on his quest to play every county in Ireland. I didn’t get a ticket for the gig unfortunately but I did literally see him in Armagh 😀

Hi everybody. I hope yu are all OK. We celebrated Frankie's first birthday on Thursday. He ended up with 3 birthday cakes. His Mum bought one, and two people very kindly made ones for him. So my diet since Thursday has mostly been birthday cake. 🤣
I'm in Liverpool next weekend to catch up with the relatives aka another boozy do with the cousins and brother. I'm looking forward to it. We've booked the Casa Italia for tea - I haven't been there for years.
Love the pics @kev. I l9ve this time of year. It's definitely my favourite time- light nights, getting warmer.
Have a good day - hope we win!

Morning all, hazy sunshine this morning but warmer without the chilly wind.had a great time at the gig last night. After a quick poll during the set it turned out we were the couple who had been together the longest so the singer dedicated “Prettiest Eyes” to us. Which just happens to be my favourite song of theirs. It was so lovely but god it made me feel old.😂
Belated Happy Birthday to Frankie @anjelikaferrett, three birthday cakes, lucky boy.

Have a good day, all💙
