Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Thanks for all the well wishes, so out of hospital I have to inject myself for a month with blood thinner medication

There is some damage to my heart, the pulmonary embolism was pressing on my heart but the will go back to normal when the clots are dealt with.

It was a scary time and they did say the surgery I had in December the gross hematuria I had in January and flying the UK so close together.

But feeling good and so glad we are not playing this weekend, I could have had a relapse.

Excellent news mate, just keep it up….

Evening everyone, half term this week so went into town with Hannah and Jess. Jess was cold having left home with only a t-shirt under her coat, “The sun was shining, Nanny, I didn’t need one…”🙄, so had to buy one, luckily the one she picked was in the sale at £10. Next stop was a new store which has just opened and she was desperate to visit, Miniso, selling highly priced key rings, soft toys, etc. She took it well when I told her I wasn’t paying £19 for a box containing a mystery toy but she could have a mystery fridge magnet instead, still a bit on the dear side at £3.99. Hannah had money to make it fair, she’s off into town tomorrow with her friends, so spending money will come in handy. Can get expensive this grandparenting lark. After lunch we went to the cathedral, one of their favourite places to visit, not that there’s many places to go in town but at least it’s free. Here’s a pic of the Helios installation currently on display in there.

What an amazing photo that is! It is like something from a science fiction movie.

Bitterly cold day with rain sweeping in later so I tried to get a decent walk in earlier. The lighter mornings will certainly make it easier to get up but needs must for another few weeks.

I recorded the new Tony Blair documentary last night and will hopefully get a chance to flick it on later. Did anyone get a chance, or inclination, to watch it?
Won’t watch it as the urge to throw something at the telly would be too strong. Tony Blair is just one of a long list of people I would love to see fall down a very deep hole.

Morning all, fairly bright but very chilly again. Off to see my friend this morning for our weekly natter. This afternoon there’s more sorting out of junk as the de-cluttering continues. We found a box of assorted souvenirs and guide books from museums, steam railways etc. There’s a rosette from the Horse Driving trials, Sandringham 1984, god knows how we came by that, it’s the last place I would go!
@Val P Belated Happy Birthday to Mr P. for yesterday.
Have a good day, all.💙

I understand that view but he had some redeeming qualities re his handling of Ireland. That was outweighed by the Iraq disaster though granted. I think it will be a good watch though.
