Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Sat in Stockholm airport after a weekend break, great visit and loads to see and do, v v expensive....
First place I've ever been to where I have not seen any currency whatsoever, not used by us, or anybody else. Shops advertised they don't accept cash. Remarkable.
As I'm sat here reflecting with a lager ( 13 euro ), a robot has come along and delivered food to the table next to us.
The world is moving at a pace !.

Hi folks. Another visit to the gym this morning where I managed to reduce the aqua aerobics instructor( 60 yr old Enrique, Filipino, killer smile, banging 80s exercise track ) to helpless hysterics. For context, my lack of coordination is legendary. While exercising I can do things with my arms, do things with.my legs but when the two have to do stuff independently but together,I can fell my brain frying and the synapse just don't connect. This happened today. I told him, too many instructions, he was crying with laughter and I got a bit of 1:1 instruction! I may never go back.....🤣🤣

They have those robot waiters in Belfast airport as well. I can’t stand them as surely someone would be glad of getting that work instead.

When I read that post to the end I wishfully read " I may never look back " .Thanks for the morning smile .

Good morning all on this dark one here ,I hope all are well and had a fine night's sleep.
I found this this morning :-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXvUw7mnSho
Have a great day all COYB
That will do me later with a coffee and a mince pie, if I have earned one by then of course.

As a visitor to Liverpool, even I can see the huge changes to it over the past 25 years. One tiny little aspect I love about it now- the houses down at the bottom of Hanover Street, set over to the right if you have the Albert Dock to your back. Very easy to forget that residential houses still exist in the city centre.

You will have seen changes that I have not . If I recollect correctly there was a pub on London road that was originally a coach house for changing the horses on the Liverpool -London route ,after one mile they needed fresh horses because of the climb ! There are more by the same poster that might elongate your coffee break .
P.S. I have just googled the housing you mentioned and I wouldn't know the place now ,when I was there Hanover street was a tip of a place odd dives and derelict buildings .

Morning all, today marks the fourth anniversary of our friend Karl’s ( Messymascot) passing. I’m not that great with words and I’ve said this before so forgive me repeating myself. He would be so proud of this thread which is a fitting tribute to him and ensures his memory lives on. Sleep well, Karl.💙

I don’t think I have ever been on the London Road myself. Heard of it of course but had to Google it to get my bearings.

Hanover Street is a lovely spot now but when I was first there it was certainly sparse between O’Neill’s and the Dock.

He was a very special fella that we were all very lucky to get to know.

Wow that time has flown by so fast. Messy was an active poster in the Youth Teams Thread for many years that’s really where I knew him from . It’s super that his thread is still going down strong.
