Not sure abut that Blue. I tried nettle tea once and didn't like the taste at all.For lunch nettle pancakes with jam a la Letitia :-View attachment 171272
Amazing the turnaround since my post yesterday. Quite stunning really.Enjoying the Broad and Bairstow show Ange?
Think she sang at the Jubilee event. You may have been firing an air pistol at the TV at the time though.Celeste on at 7pm my tip for tonight Fred. Shetlands a bit like Billie Holliday.
Very unusual and distinctive voice but soulful and Jazzy too.

How very insightful of you I wouldn't have known ( or cared ) about that.Think she sang at the Jubilee event. You may have been firing an air pistol at the TV at the time though.![]()
Chico couldn't make it but Davek and ForeverBlue 92 and putting in guest appearances.Who else is coming next Friday.? Don't tell me you've invited Chico
I have to confess I did switch off Billie Irish at 11pm. Thought she was okay but not really my cup of tea. I wanted to watch Gong but the Beeb weren't covering that particular stage for some reason. So I ended up flicking between the Foals and Primal Scream. I discovered Khruangbin earlier on, a band I somehow have never heard of. They were fantastic Jazz. If you didn't catch them I highly recommend you do so on catch up today.![]()
A lot to digest .I love this thread. We've moved from Supreme Court decisions to @Terrarian 's toilet habits! Long may the diversity of conversations last. ??
Is that on a Friday perhaps?I'll have you know I only touch gin once a week. Normally.
You can't taste them Fred they just add vitamins .Not sure abut that Blue. I tried nettle tea once and didn't like the taste at all.
I quite like FB in fairness. I don't agree with him on much, or on anything really. But he sent me some nice messages when Cal passed.Chico couldn't make it but Davek and ForeverBlue 92 and putting in guest appearances.
Nothing worse than being predictable is there Blue.?Is that on a Friday perhaps?
Any further news ee your neighbour?Good afternoon folks. Busy morning. Did another double Sweaty Saturday/PT session at the gym. Today's challenge involved ' chest to floor' Imagine a body popping caterpillar and you might be close. I had no chance. The chest went to the floor but wasn't keen on getting off the floor! I'm dreading next week which is the last of the 4 sessions because each week the degree of difficulty and effort required has dramatically increase.
Quite windy here today but still warm. We have binned off the pub and are going to have a few drinks in the back garden.
An update on last night's thunderstorm trip to Tesco. Waited until the rain stopped. Got out of car. Between car park and shop was a small river. So I had to wade through it - ankle deep in my sandals!??
Very well said Anj, I agree with every word.I completely understand where you are coming from AT. I grew up in a staunchly Catholic environment but and was given the same message. What concerns me most about this legislation is that it is so anti women. Men appear to be absolved of any responsibility. I've read that in some states, and @Sassy Colombian might be able to confirm, that if a women has a miscarriage, she could be sent to prison and terminating an ectopic pregnancy could also result in criminal proceedings. That is just so wrong.
Also the blatant hypocrisy of some of the politicians astounds me. Take the utterly vile Jacob Rees-Mogg. He's Catholic. Staunchly anti abortion and I respect that, it goes with his faith. However the same man voted against free school meals during lockdown and appears to be happy to let migrant children drown in the English Channel. If you are pro-life then that doesn't end when the child is born. You have to support the child if the parents cannot or are unable to. All children. It is also not in line with Catholic teachings or what Jesus said. My favourite passage in the bible (possibly Matthew's gospel) is when Jesus said about the sheep and the goats - when I was hungry, you gave me food, when I was naked you clothed me. That, and George Orwell's Animal Farm have probably shaped my whole philosophy on how I try to live my life.
