No I was delighted that I managed ,my Finnish gets me around the shops with a few smiles and grimaces ,no more .
We did though finish off a bottle of Glendalough and I have no idea who gave it to us as we cannot buy it here .

Good morning everyone. Are you lot telling me these avatars aren't your real names, I'm shocked lol I think I only know 3 of your names but I wouldn't use them I think privacy online is a persons choice given all the unsavoury portions of society.

I am thinking of learning another language, I found a piece of software which is supposed to be really good and I was thinking learning Japanese but then it won't be any use as hardly anyone outside Japan talks Japanese, maybe mandarin or maybe just stick to European languages closer to home like Spanish. It's probably pie in the sky though, I'm full of useless ideas.

Lovely start to the day today but lots of rain coming in later.
Billie Eillish ? Not for me @Barnfred 55 , watched 10 minutes of her show and then played the Lotus Eaters and Human League!
It's Open Garden day in the village today but we didn't want ours to be included - far too much pressure to get it looking perfect for the hordes tramping around.
It's bad enough getting it ready for next Friday's visit of GOT royalty. lol

I watched a youtube clip of an American lass who now speaks Japanese and Mandarin fluently to the point where walking down streets in Japan she knew if people were talking about her, her accents were spot on and everything and this is what she used.

They say the closest to English is Dutch but the easiest to learn is Spanish for a Brit .Here the Scottish do well as the way they pronounce words is very similar to the Finns . The hardest language for Brits using the same alphabet is Finnish ,just my luck ! I did Spanish to o level at 46 ish in one year but the teacher was really hot ,so she had my undivided attention
