Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Didn't he nearly die after a freak injury - ruptured his liver or something. I'm really pleased Ireland won tonight. As far as international football goes, I'm always more invested in Ireland's performances than England's.
I'm just enjoying a red wine now sitting down to watch England Italy. Hope its as good as the Germany game the other night. Really impressed with the Germans.

International football leaves me cold to be honest. I have no interest in it whatsoever.

Anyway Rufford beat Carnforth in a top of the table cricket match and go top ! With two 15 yr olds in the first XI get in !
That's awesome. I like watching big tournaments like the Euros and World Cup but do it from an almost neutral perspective. I would never go and watch an international match. There just isn't the same emotional connection as there is to Everton. Also, and this is a very sweeping generalisation, most matchgoing England fans that I ever see ( which is only on TV) come across as prize knobheads.

I support England when they play but not in a fanatical way. I'm not somebody who wants to see them actually fail like some do. I agree though. The few people I know who have been to England games have indeed been total knobheads.

Yeah he collided with a team mate’s knees and nearly made the final substitution. He’s a real good lad. His Father’s passing derailed his career for a couple of years, just couldn’t get his head sorted.

Just to add. At least none of those knobheads are going to be there tonight?

Good morning on this bright sunny day here in Finland .I hope all had a good sleep and are fresh for today .Not much happening here today just sharpen the mower blades as they seem a bit dull ,it might be the few rocks I hit ! Have a great day all and work hard at that gun lobby Sassy. COYB
I did my part showing up, lots of people did and we march for an hour around downtown making our voices heard. Many more people showed up in Washington DC demanding changes. One of the speakers, 13 year old great granddaughter of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, had a good quote of the when she was asked why this time she thought this March could make a difference. She said “This time is different because this isn’t about politics. It’s about morality. Not right and left, but right and wrong, and that doesn’t just mean thoughts and prayers. That means courage and action.” Hopefully the US senate has heard us, the House passed gun legislation that now it is time for the Senate to have some courage and act too, if not then we need to vote them out in November. There have been more mass shootings in the US this year than days of the year. Enough is enough!

Yep Rome is on the list for a long weekend. I really don't like cities but I will make a exception for Rome .......and Florence which together with Tuscany and the Italian lakes will comprise our tour of Italy ( in separate visits).
Beautiful photos !
I’m not big into cities either but Rome is a museum so totally different experience.

Glad I didn’t disappointed you with the pic :)

Why the glum face.? The skeletons?.

I didn't feel saddened by that side of things for some reason just awed that they had survived so long. I think the fact it happened 2000 years ago may have had something to do with it. I thought both there and Pompei were fantastic although very different as you say. Herculaneum was covered in volcanic Ash which seemed to have preserved everything
We just wanted to look as dramatic as the scene demanded lol
