As you can see from the page numbers Bornblue we have kept this thread going in his honour. It has become a little haven on what can sometimes be a very turbulent forum. And from a personal point of view it has been an absolute life saver for me. i couldn't ever thank Messy enough even if I tried.

Do you know Fred I have very few problems of any worth but I have been uplifted by this thread to a degree I don't understand.I will forever remember Karl and his bravery ,he was and is an inspiration to many more than he realised . Thanks to him we all have friends not aquaintances from here .

Just going for a lie down in the sun. Might make myself a nice cocktail. I tend to put fresh lime in most of them but I'll have to do without. Don't have any orange juice either but I'll think of something. What goes in a Harvey Wallbanger. I have Galliano.

Opted for JD&C in the end. I know it isn't exactly a cocktail but I don't have any provisions in so my choices were limited. i can quite easily do without my usual slice of lime in a JD.

Weather is going to be nice into the evening so have decided to eat al fresco. I have some nice Spanish cured meats and cheeses and will have them with some olives, preserved piquante peppers and red peppers. To accompany it I've put a bottle of cava on ice which I'll have with some Aperol which just lifts it. A poor mans kir Royale but very refreshing in the sunshine.

Just on my second JD & C. Well I've opened a can of diet coke so it would be a shame to waste it. Have a great Friday evening everybody.

It’s either that or Messy was a genius and realised it was best if us misfits were all contained in one place for the good of the site.
