Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Nice walk out with daisy but really not liking how my body is feeling at the moment, really sore it sucks, I think only my abs aren't hurting muscle wise. Nearly got mowed down by an old dear on a zebra crossing.

Talking about cars, at what point is there too many, we are already running out of space on streets which has lead to pavement parking or ruining the landscape. There needs to be a cap on car production, not even joking. Not a fan of cars. I was a very car sick kid so never learnt to drive.

There's a flat near me and on matchdays always has either a Man Utd flag or a Real Madrid flag outside the flat, I always thought it was a youngster but it's an old lady lol I was hoping to see the RM flag before but she's got the Union Jack out today.

@jazzy most Holiday Inns/Travelodge/Premier Inn etc are filled with contractors and business people most of the time during the weeks.

Hope you enjoy your weekend wherever you are, have a good one.

Have a great weekend.

Morning all, cloudy here now after a lovely start to the day. @Terrarian I’m not much of a car fan either, we didn’t have a car when I was young, my parents couldn’t afford one but my Dad got free rail travel so we went on the train everywhere. I was always car sick when my grandparents took me to the seaside, I used to sit in the back with a bucket so they didn’t have to keep stopping, I sometimes wonder why they took me?. Never learned to drive. Son-in-law is a real car fan, changes his car every year, doesn’t understand why we don’t and often tries to get Mr G. to replace our 10yr old Fiesta, can’t really see the point it gets us from A to B and has only done about 22k miles. plus it’s a lovely shade of blue?. Hope your aches and pains ease soon. Tachos sound great @jazzy, Cheese and tomato pizza here. To watch or not watch the football this evening is the question, I would normally avoid watching any match involving RS like the plague but I think Carlo may do it, he owes us one so I’m undecided at the moment. Have a good day all.?

Football , what football? Seasons over

Morning coffee shop crew. Lovely day today thankfully, it has been pretty wet and cold all week so makes a nice change.

Just almost thought who are we playing today, doh!! No wonder I'm all relaxed lol

I've been watching quite a few of those animal videos, I find them quite uplifting. One thing I've noticed and it bothers me is the amount of animals that get trapped in human waste or human contraptions. Especially fishing line and plastic bottles, as a species we are so selfish.

Have a good day all.
Most fishermen, certainly the ones down here in Cornwall, are very conscious of this sort of thing. There are a team of voluntary divers that go out and sort such things out. Whenever a fishing net breaks loose from the boat, which happens occasionally through no fault of the fishermen, they report the time and co-ordinates to this voluntary team who go out and clear the mess up if they can find it. They have a computer app that takes into account tides, winds etc and predicts an area where the net would have ended up and they go and search. They aren't 100% successful but they find most. Very clever.

Beautiful again here G. I'm going to clean out the BBQ and start it up later. Might just have a sandwich for lunch and have the BBQ about 4ish. Nothing too fancy today, maybe some burgers and sausage. Decide later whether to do a side dish of rice or some Jersey royals which i got this morning, together with a tomato and onion salad.Been shopping this morning and have all my supplies, so I have the choice of cocktails this afternoon (quite fancy the Harvey wallbanger) and then some cheap rose plonk to go with the barbie.

Have a good Saturday everyone and come on Carlo, do it for the blue half of Merseyside.

The fishing industry need to do way more, we may be conscious of it in this country but worldwide, fishing is a huge problem. Over fishing is rife and unsustainable and then all the plastic and non biodegradable equipment.

We don't look after our oceans at all and future generations will pay the price as eco systems die. I've really cut down the amount of fish I eat due to plastics, a lot of fish ingest micro-plastics which they can't digest obviously and then we eat them, mind you some would say we deserve it.

Oh I fully agree mate. Especially those mega trawlers. The damage they do to the environment they should be banned, and if I'm not mistaken I think they are now in UK waters, or at least that's the plan.
