Of course he shouldn't be sacked. Question him and his tactics by all means but to sack him would be utterly ridiculous.
Exactly. Also perhaps recognise that the team isn't at full fitness - some are back from injuries, some seem to be struggling a bit.

The poll results speak for themselves here.

Last night I would have had one buttock on the fence and the other on the sack. Having slept on it, obviously it's stay. It's too early to tell if it's the EL effect, lack of depth or just lack of the famous Plan B.

I'm agog that 1 in 6 want him out. Agog.

Loads of people seem to have fell for your thread mate. But it has shown some rather weird results.

My silly answers aside of course he shouldn't be/wouldn't be anyway.

I reckon if you asked this on like Friday, the answer would be less. People were foaming last night and his after match comments made things worse. People will calm down and realise they are nuts.

Unbelievable whingers in our midst. We could end 17th and I'd want him to stay. His first season totally transformed the mindset of the fanbase. He had an incredible first season in charge (our highest points in the PL etc). We've shown real ambition in the transfer market this summer and I think most of those signings will pay off. Remember that Lukaku scored last night and I think Besic continues to improve. Sure, this season's performance in the league blows and I do think that Bobby needs to adapt and grow, but I would give him at least another 2 seasons to do this as long as it doesn't look like we're going down. And seriously, this team is not going down. I don't care where Villa are in the league. Last night's result was HUGELY disappointing and we'll probably get right spanked on the weekend, but we will be mid table at least at the end of the season. And for a manager in his second season in a club that has shown patience and allowed managers bed in, I think that kind of second season position is just fine. Of course, I want us to finish 4th and I believed it was nailed on before the first game of the league, but you know what? We're a broke-ass work in progress.

I think the thread is a good one. 75% support after a dodgy start and immediately after an angst ridden home game where we dropped two points is a high level of backing in my view. I do not think we are turning into utter bells by having the discussion.

I voted stay.
