I appreciate you're concerned but are we looking at this as if we are completely screwed? After we played Newcastle there was a new sense of optimism floating around and we sensed it was a game we dominated which we did. We got two wins that week, we lost last night which is majorly disappointing but it happens in football. We win against QPR we are more or less safe. Let's all just get back on the same hymn sheet. Martinez has the right up until christmas, can we all agree?

It was a win against a Newcastle side that turned up beaten

It's times like this when I wonder whether I'll take my kids to Goodison or whether I will let their Grandad take them to watch Southport instead, save them the pain, y'know?

You can't help yourself mate, trust me to Goodison they go. I couldn't wait for the day my son was old enough to get to a game, let him share in his dad's pain on the way home from another crap performance lol

If we can't have swaying emotion and full debate, we might as well just all talk about our favourite owls

Tawny, yours?

Snowy for defos

Can't bellieve you've just typed that. That's possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen on here.

Barn owls are vastly superior.

er chums...

and it's the Great Grey for me please

lets hope he resigns
His stubborness is reeking the place out. Despite the worst performance by a defender in the history of football ( you can finally rest Titus ), he continued to stick with Alcaraz and plod on, to give just one example.

This guy isn't going to resign. People with this level of stubborness are too proud for that. Either the liar will give him the boot or Martinez is found in a ditch face down somewhere after getting us relegated. Those are the only two options.

Erm no not really! As I said earlier, he should have until October at the latest to redeem himself. That is only though if he stops acting like some pathetic, blind / bewildered buffoon who cannot see what the rest of football is seeing between now and the end of the season.

Agreed, May = rid of the blundering buffoon!

I agree that his arrogance and stubborness is showing its ugly head, i agree to that and its very much a problem.

However, Martinez can only do so much. Whilst his team selection and tactics seem very strange this season, is it Bobby's fault that Coleman simply cannot beat a man anymore ? Is it Bobby's fault that Coleman leaves gaps all over his side of the field ? Is it Bobby's fault Barkley has somehow lost the ability to control a football ? Is it Bobby's fault that suddenly Baines, who not long ago was one of the best deadball specialists in world football cannot take a corner properly ? and on and on....

It could easily be argued that yes, these things are all his fault, as he has knocked all of the confidence that these players had right out of the ball park with his ridiculous organisational plans, which in turn seen a ridiculous reversal of fortunes and thus knocking all of the confidence out of the players.

Confidence is a massive part of a players make up. Once they lose that it can take 50% out of their game.

You're right, he has, still rather have a non-local non-supporter like say...

the ones at Manchester City, they've not exactly struggled have they?

Fair enough... each to their own. I'd rather compete for 4th or 3rd or whatever and earn it than buy it.

Actually what am I on about? All about winning winning winning

People say that he needs to replace the ageing players. When has he ever shown any intention of replacing the likes of Howard and Barry? They start every game.
