The only reason that someone who lived in Dubai and was massively oil rich would care about the club would be A- as an investment... cue the club becoming a faceless enterprise with proposed name/kit/sponsor/stadium changes and with a different gaffer/set of players every other season. But yeah we might finish 4th. or B- we happen to stike gold with an english expat, lifelong toffees fan, who cares about bthe club's history and guides us beautifully to glory whilst still retaining the clubs morals/ethics/work rate etc.

Although I see Chelsea and Man City fans don't mind much so maybe I'm being too much of an idealist. Wish I just cared about winning and nowt else

The price of a ticket in everton is insanely high and has priced out a lot of our fanbase.

What fans do is largely irrelvent, because the club gets their money largely from rupert murdoch who we all hate for the lies he's written about this city.

In a recession we pay our players and managers more in a week than the average fan earns in 4 years.

We have a team of mercenaries who have no connections to this club and often openly disrepesct us and view us as a stepping stone (fellaini, mirallas, luaku, neville, moyes etc.).

We have a board who have sued their own fans, attaked fan forums, shut down fan meetings. employed kopites as communication directors, employed men who have repetaedly insulteed the everton fanbase and lied repeatedly in talks with fans.

We threw a liverpool debry by playing a shadow side.

I honestly don't see how we can lose more of our soul then we've already lost under our current owner.

You can't put everything on alcaraz mate.
The 2 defensive midfielders were playing at centre halves at times, the full backs were exposed time and again and we lacked the mental belief.
Martinez was found out yet again with his aimless tactics and he gave no direction.
Nothing changed at half time ,how can you play for a manager that when things go wrong time and again he leaves it the same

I'm not putting everything on him.

Just stating a fact.....if he deals with those two attacks we are in the draw.

Simple as.

We can talk all we like about tactics or whatever and I do not disagree with you about Martinez last night.

But Alcaraz became the visible embodiment of this rotten season in those five mad minutes last evening.

But you know.....it is all gone now.

Time to move on, I'm afraid.

And in a perverse way, the relegation worries will help keep the season alive until such time as we are safe....assuming such a time comes :(

If we had even four or five points more this season would already be dead and we would be facing a big hole in our lives as we looked forward to August.

Mate you could write that about practically any club in the premier league! Not just Everton is it? Sorry state of modern footy when that's the case I guess. And can you enlighten me further on how the majority of our cash is derived from Rupert Murdoch because that has passed me by big time.

Nah, it's the best filter we got. This place makes me cringe at being a blue after adverse results. It was never like that on here.

The d-machine is on a noble quest to old skool game the most angry.

If he's so apparent then why do lids fume? Because his corn is just so tasty.

There's an ignore button but lids don't want to click it. He's in their heads.

Nah, we want the full range of emotions on here - even the King of the Kopite Hunt had a mini-meltdown last night. This place wasn't nearly called Blue Passion for nothing.

If we can't have swaying emotion and full debate, we might as well just all talk about our favourite owls

Interesting thing came out of the Wolfsburg game after ours when they were discussing Kevin De Bruyne . the modern no:10 has to have the ability to operate in the whole width of the pitch and be looking to make runs in behind. Although Ross played well last night he does not do any of the above and while naisey probably does, he lacks quality.
Naismith stinks to high heaven in that role. So far out of his depth. He cannot pass, his first touch is woeful, when he does manage to control the ball he is too slow with it on the counter, his decision making is bang average.... Do i need to go on ?

The only reason he is in the team, THE only reason is because of his work rate. Naismith does not have the quality and never will have the quality to perform consistenly well in that role. He managed to score a couple of important goals and rather than stick to a system (with better quality of player), Martinez tried to force him in the starting 11 with Lukaku as a reward for slotting a couple. Naismith is not a number 10, he isn't a winger either. He has none of the attributes that a number 10 needs to perform consistenly well, that i do know.

Delayed posting until now because I was so angry last night that rational thought went out of the window.

What other manager would have

1. Bought Alcaraz ?

2. Played him ahead of Stones ?

3. Failed to play Besic as a man marker on Yarmalenko ?

4. Played with such an open system against a team that only needed to win 1-0?

5. Had such an immobile midfield?

6. Failed to change things at half time?

His arrogance and stubborness shows that he can't / won't learn , change or adapt.

He has to go . If he doesn't he will take us down , maybe not this season but he will.

How many of our star players will want to stay with him in charge ?

Well that's the point though.

You see some clubs with their soul and some clubs without.

I see 20 clubs with no soul, some of which win things and some don't.

And Murdoch runs sky. It's his money that funds the tv deals that is our major source of income. Season tickets is pocket change in comparison.

Tawny, yours?

Yeah alcaraz was bad and how he got a place over stones baffles me.
Yeah its gone i know but what a chance of a quarter final they were not that good.
If we lose at QPR we are very much in a relegation battle thanks roberto you have taken a spirited quality side down to your level.

So yeah... Kenwright continues to keep the club in the prem, financially afloat, and with more soul than most of the clubs up here at these lofty heights. And you'd rather him out for a non-local non-supporter why?
