In. Little league run now that that's all we've got to concentrate on, finish a tidy 7th, give him the summer to get in some decent players and someone who knows how to defend. If crap still sack him by crimbo.

If this was Moyes then people wouldn't be too fussed really... just getting to that stage when older players are needing replacements and the younger players need another season. Gi'im a chance like

Certain posters would be apoplectic if we were in this situation under Moyes.

This.

McCarthy needs to be scoring five to eight goals plus a handful of assists a season to be worth anywhere near 20m. What does he have... two goals for us in two seasons?

Coleman has it in his locker, we've all seen that. I guess it can't help having somebody as useless as McGeady in front of you, or as selfish and injury-prone as Mirallas in and out of the team.

Baines is finished, gone so off the boil this season it's unreal.
He's not finished but I would play Garbutt to the end of the season and say to him he would be first choice next year.

I would then move Baines into Barry's position and get rid of Barry at the end of the season. I would also sell McCarthy especially if we could get 20m and promote Besic and rotate Besic, Barkley, Gibson and Baines in those positions depending on the individual game.

IMO - That would make us 20m, save us another 3 on wages and strengthen the team.

However what will happen is nothing and we will loose a future England left back and be left with an unbalanced team.

How much is Martinez paid a year?

People not thinking rationally. This season has done my tits in big time, but then couple of seasons under Moyes did to. Just Everton innit? Give him a transfer window and see what's what. Hopefully Bobby will sit down at the end of the season and realise the differences in managing tiny Wigan and us and cotton on to some of his glaring errors.

I personally think we would of finished 5th last season regardless of who was in charge (within reason) we were the 5th best/team squad and everything clicked brilliantly.

Sustaining, adapting and doing that year after year requires a manager with ability. Roberto is proving he's not of that standard.

Some maybe think he deserves a third season to prove it. Like a best of 3. Well that's thier progative. Personally I dont think it will be any different

hahah was just typing that you biff, good edit
:p

Yea as soon as I hit send I thought damn Luke Shaw.

But seriously you can't compare an 18 year old who is just at the beginning of his career to a 26 year old at the peak.

Today I think there's nothing much in them so even if Shaw doesn't improve Utd will still get 10 years out of Shaw. Anyone who buys Coleman will get 4 and have little resale value.

Playing Baines in midfield rather than besic or gibson is worse than playing barry there.

I think that's harsh really. Martinez was a breath of fresh air when he arrived. His gung ho attitude combined with Moyes's left behind solidarity meant that he took all the potential Moyes had built but never used and unleashed it.

Problem is this season is that Martinez has got fully to grips with the squad, the leftovers of Moyes has evaporated and he's enforced his laughable defensive management on the team.

So, to summarise, we are now, in every sense of the word, Wigan.

Interesting thing came out of the Wolfsburg game after ours when they were discussing Kevin De Bruyne . the modern no:10 has to have the ability to operate in the whole width of the pitch and be looking to make runs in behind. Although Ross played well last night he does not do any of the above and while naisey probably does, he lacks quality.

playing games with the emotions of Blues who are hurting after such a humiliating defeat is badly kopite
Nah, it's the best filter we got. This place makes me cringe at being a blue after adverse results. It was never like that on here.

The d-machine is on a noble quest to old skool game the most angry.

If he's so apparent then why do lids fume? Because his corn is just so tasty.

There's an ignore button but lids don't want to click it. He's in their heads.

Think this is the key area of the team we're lacking in. The gap between midfield and attack, though better of late, is usually huge. I think Ross will end up at CM personally where his long range passing, physicality and driving runs will come to the fore. But neither him or Naismith make the team click in that role.

De Bruyne is an excellent example. Versatile but knows when to pass and when to shoot.

Howard Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines
Mirallas mccarthy besic *delboy*
Lukaku *Ayew(free)*

Joel *shar(free)* gibson oviedo naismith Barkley kone

Need to ship out Alcatastrophe, Distin, barry and mcgeady.

I would be willing to stick with Howard for another season just because i dont think we will have the money to clear out. Mirallas for all his sulking is still our best winger. The whole martinez debate will carry on but i think Bill will show patience IMO.

Priority is to now stay up and survive. maybe play one or two kids between now and the end if survival is guaranteed.
